Been saying it for 3 months now… just taking the fricking sticky off and let it rise and fall based off activity.

Imagine there 1/2 to 2/3s the amount of posts this year as opposed to last due to it being forgettable at the bottom.

Posted in this thread almost daily last year it seemed. I've probably had 10 total posts since the season started this year because of the stupid bottom sticky.

It's been brought up on the help board, but cluckster said deal with it and use notifications. It was then pointed out notifications don't work properly, and he said deal with it.

It's his site, so whatever. Just annoying.

Notifications aren’t perfect but they definitely work. Still don’t love the bottom sticky.

This.

My suggestion was instead of a bottom sticky, develop a "pin to front page" functionality that would keep it on the front page, but allow it to pop to the top on reply then float down as other threads superceed it.
