I've done my best guess at Race #1 picks, and they were literally guesses. I figure I take whatever points I get and adjust going forward.

Season starts tonight gentlemen! Can't wait to see what happens this year with 4 teams seemingly able to compete for wins every given week, some new faces in great seats and the usual contenders.

I'm excited to see how much of a clustfck that Liam causes in the top 10.

According to all of the pundits, Antonelli is expected to shine. That's two new(ish) guys in top cars. While Liam has no chance of keeping up with Max, I would love to see Antonelli put immediate pressure on George.

Hopefully Lando learned a lot. If this season is a repeat of last season then I might be ready to concede Lando doesn’t have what it takes.

That’s fair. They can’t give Max another 7-8 win lead to start the season. Red Bull might not have the best car, but Max has a way of getting more than he should out of it.

Certainly can’t imagine how this can’t be an exciting year.

And extremely hard to predict too.

Should be fun

Okay, but to be fair, there aren’t many drivers all-time who could/can overcome their equipment’s deficiencies.

Norris had the superior car for a majority of the season.

After Miami, a win for Norris, he was 53 points behind Max.

At the end of the season he was 63 points behind Max.

Norris had the superior car for this entire period.

I stand by my claim that Norris will not win a WDC unless he has a dominant car like the RB was in 2023.

He's either going to crash a lot trying to keep up with Max or he's going to crash a lot playing tail gunner.

Well hang on, let's say McLaren has the fastest car, and there's another car that can battle him over the season, but it's not Red Bull. Max would destroy him if the Red Bull is close, but let's say it's another team (Red Bull just doesn't have the race pace). I think Lando can win some match-ups.

So assuming McLaren has a slight advantage over the field...

Let's not forget about his own teammate. A lot of people are high on Piastri, but I don't think he's shown yet that he has the sheer consistent speed over the season as Lando does. So I think Lando wins here.

If Leclerc is his closest rival, I'm not convinced yet he is a world champion when he has to battle tooth and nail for it (similar to doubts about Lando). I would pick Lando.

If Hamilton is his closest rival, his record speaks for itself, despite being a little past his peak. Hamilton wins.

If Russell is his closest rival, well I have less faith in George being able to battle throughout the season than Lando. Lando wins.

If you have an iPhone you can use the following link to subscribe in your calendar app to the sky sports calendar and it will show in your time for when the events start just FYI for those interested in that

https://www.skysports.com/calendars/formula1/races?practice=true&qualifying=true&shootout=true&sprint=true&race=true

If you don’t want one of those events to appear in your calendar simply change the true to false for that particular event

Piastri already shite on Norris' head with that lap one pass for the lead last year. If he learns how to preserve the tires he'll wreck emo boy.

The other three would/will whip Norris in a matchup of similar cars.

He's Charmin soft.

Got a bounce back too. Retried

Less than two hours to go until FP1 and there are still five guys who have not saved a prediction.

The lockout starts before FP1, so please get your predictions saved, or e-mail me if you are having any problem.

Apex, did you get my e-mail?

Oh noes, four guys still have not saved a prediction. I will hold off on the lockout until the last second, which is 20 minutes from now!

I guess they will get a "DNS" for Race 1.

I really have no idea how this race is going to go.

Anyone know if the first practice is on the espn app?

I'm a chump. I paid for the upgrade from F1TV Pro to Premium (with the 15% off coupon).

So far it looks good in Chrome on my PC.

On my Roku I was getting some jitter, not good. Hopefully they get that worked out quickly.

Lawson has already made contact with the wall.

Crumbling under the pressure!

It's on the espn app. Who had Lawson hitting the wall first? Lol

All these rookies are going to make this year interesting.
