So race is 11pm central on Saturday.
Not as bad as I thought. For some reason, thought this one was a 3am one.

Agree, pre show will start at 930, so something to watch all night.

They moved the start up this year because of the red flags last year and the last lap ending at dusk.

Didn't we get a standing start off of a red flag for about 3 - 4 laps to end the Aussie GP last year?
Yes, and I'm a newbie, so can someone explain what would prompt a standing start restart versus the rolling start?

IIRC the race was red flagged.

I understand a red flag restart is always a standing restart, unless there are bad weather conditions which would necessitate a rolling restart.
There might be other one off scenarios that are different that I’m not aware of.

Sounds good to me, anything to create excitement.
Is there any rationale behind that?

ESPN's good enough for me, thanks.

they normally run 20% off a few weeks into the season, have they run it yet? I let mine cancel with the increase.
Yeah, its only $5 but with more and more on tv these days, I can just miss the portions that aren't.

?? | Aramco are targeting a takeover of Aston Martin F1 Team.
They also want Max Verstappen and Adrian Newey.

F1TV + Multiviewer is so worth it.
As for the aussie start time, 11 pm has me pretty happy, but I hope there aren't any red flags or else I might not make it to the end.

This goes along with my theory that Lance will retire from F1 at the end of this year or next year because Honda won't want him. Lawrence won't be interested in the team once the dream is gone, and he will say Aramco gave him an offer he couldn't refuse.
Useless fact: Someone noted on reddit that 5 of the 7 most valuable companies in the world originated in the Bay Area (the other two are from Seattle). Saudi Aramco was originally just Aramco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Standard Oil of Califonia (HQ San Francisco), which later became Chevron.

In today's episode of F1 drama, we have the FIA essentially clearing themselves of any wrongdoing. These are in relation to influencing Stewards to reverse a penalty for Fernando Alonso, and potentially not certifying the Las Vegas track.
LINK
In a bonus episode, Susie Wolff has filed suit against the FIA in regards to the leak about the potential conflict of interest.

I find Torger and Suzie Wolf far more disruptive and annoying than Racy Spice.
Posted on 3/20/24 at 5:17 pm to BuckyCheese
The whole Rapey Spice saga has gone cold post-Helmut not being suspended.
So guess we needed more drama with Suzie now... And you're kidding yourself if her and Toto never discussed shite. Thats just asinine.
