Getting service at the dealership this morning and they have ESPN2 on. Hardly any mention of yesterday’s race. Hard to grow your audience when you aren’t getting media coverage outside of normal Motorsports media

I've thought about Coy Gibbs death all yesterday, last night and this AM. Everytime I do, I keep circling back to there is just something strange about it (I guess that's why I keep thinking about it).
A week ago, we were all throwing Ty Gibbs under the bus. Now I feel really sorry for the kid. Sad way to end the 2022 season.

I wonder if he was jabbed.

OMG, I've never seen this. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly do a full hour on Larry King in character. I'm crying laughing....

I'd be surprised if it was natural causes. I do hate that for the Gibbs family.

ESPN not carrying Nascar means that they will generally ignore.

Yeah, I mean, hate to accuse anyone of anything, but nobody seems to even want to ask a question.
Maybe it was just a massive heart attack or stroke in his sleep. It happens, but damn.
Maybe more will come out, but if it doesn’t, whatever. It’s their business.

Dude. I think your thoughts in this thread are suspect.

I read one article that had the standard Suicide Hotline verbiage at the bottom but didn't mention anything in the article, I thought that was weird like they knew something we didn't

Ty Gibbs moving up to the Cup Series for Joe Gibbs Racing, driving the 54 car.
JGR Tweet
Goodbye 18 car, at least for now. JGR says they will utilize the 18 car in the Cup Series again in the future. I presume the 19 car will be renumbered to 18 when Truex retires/leaves JGR.

I had assumed that Denny and coach had worked something out so that 23XI had the 23 and 11 after Denny hangs them up.

Dumb question, but what channel are most races aired on nowadays? I never see them anywhere. ESPN barely touches on any highlights. I've been on an F1 kick for a while now and would like to watch some races next year so I can pick a driver
Haven't really watched anything in about 10 years.

Under the current broadcasting deal Fox has the first half of the season and NBC has the second half of the season. Fox airs its races on either Fox or Fox Sports 1, NBC airs its races on either NBC or USA Network.

It's great to see Suarez having success now after being the castaway for Gibbs, but I do wonder how much success he could have had in the 41 had he been given the opportunity to stay. Custer proved he was not that much of an upgrade. If one at all.

Off-season trivia question
Which car number has the most wins?

Good one!
I would have guessed 3 or 43.
From the quiz:
“NASCAR drivers in the No. 11 car have amassed 226 wins, more than any other number in the sport. During the 1950s and '60s, Ned Jarrett won 49 times while behind the wheel of No. 11.Cale Yarborough saw victory 55 times while driving No. 11 in the late 1970s, and Denny Hamlin, who currently races, has won 46 times while at the helm of No 11. To date, eight NASCAR Hall of Famers have driven the No. 11 car.”
