Wasn’t a severe enough penalty. It’s just a slap on the wrist.

quote:no because they know that nothing broke and they know he deliberately turned larson into the wall at full race speed. They can't do nothing so they did as close to nothing as they could. I'll leave it to each to decide why for themselves
if NASCAR could prove without any doubt his steering didn’t break do you honestly think there wouldn’t be a multi race suspension and huge fine?

Whether his steering broke or not, the telemetry shows that he stayed in the throttle until he hit the 5 car.
We all know the first thing you do when you lose steering is to floor it.

Disappointed that they didn’t lose any owner’s points

Not only did he wreck Larson on purpose he then assaulted him multiple times and still hasn’t apologized to Larson at all and that shows his true “core values”

I mean you really must be fricked up in the head to try to wreck someone at that speed then have the audacity to break more rules to charge over there and try to fight him after all that. All you can say is maybe he really did want to seriously injure or kill Larson

No argument there, but as I suggested this was probably all negotiated. Bubba will sit out a race, they will probably bring in an anger management counselor that will show him a couple videos and then some time spent with the PR people on what to say and not to say to reporters and prerace commentators.
Somewhere in the middle of all that a half arse apology in private to Kyle and the nascar official he pushed.
And then it all goes away...until next time.

I hope Nemechek shocks the world and wins this weekend in the 45.

apparently the "line drawn" isnt quite as bright red as the one for a crew chief with unapproved body modification. What a joke.
Oh, let's be clear. The penalties to the 4 car had nothing to do with the car and EVERYTHING to do with Harvick's criticism on the new car. You still really think it was a "random" inspection that got them back to the R&D center?

This is the same company that would tell a race team to dial it back when they won too much.
They've always played favorites. They need to rewrite the rule book in the off season. Any wreck deemed intentional is a one race suspension. Anything outright malicious like Bubba did is a 3 race suspension. You lose your playoff waiver. You manipulate the outcome (like Chase Elliott in 2021 at Bristol) You get docked 2X max points.
Lay the hammer when necessary.

JH Nemecheck is an even bigger douche than Bubba Wallace.

The guys on the DBC podcast had good idea the other day. The pull for the random inspection car should be done in a "public" setting after the race like the old qualifying draw was done. Anything else calls the process into question.

Bill France Jr. got in Bill Elliott’s face, nose to nose, before the 1985 Southern 500 when Bill was going for the million and said, “You are NOT going to stink up our show.” NASCAR has always been about the show.

Absolutely, the penalties to No. 4 were about as subtle a message as Solozzo sending home Luca Brasi’s bulletproof vest with a dead fish in it.

There is no way he was going to get more than a race suspension; people here were united that they’d ignore what happened but there was no way they could.
Look I know there’s an element that doesn’t want Bubba in NASCAR. We all know why; we’re not idiots here.
But there was no way this, as bad as it was … and it was bad, I said from the second it happened he needed to be parked, period, mic drop, discussion closed … was going to achieve getting rid of Bubba.
If there’s a next time? Different story.
And I do think there should have been a six figure fine and I do think NASCAR should’ve pulled its old probation system out of mothballs for six months, maybe even a year to reinforce the message.

If NASCAR wants to be all about safety Bubba fricked up twice and was only penalized once.
Purposely wrecking Larson was the first. Was he still pissed because Larson called him him N word during I-racing? Doesn’t matter. Besides the 1 race suspension, shouldn’t Bubba have been forced to attend Diversity training?
Second running down a hot track was just as egregious. Other drivers have been fined and points penalties were applied. Why does he get a pass?
Let them push and shove I don’t care.
