I think you know he has to walk a fine line here that no one else has to as an owner/drive

Here is how you handle that as an owner:

quote:

Dale Earnhardt Jr. said he was “shocked” that JR Motorsports driver Noah Gragson wrecked Sage Karam in last weekend’s Xfinity race at Road America that damaged 13 cars.

Earnhardt, co-owner of JR Motorsports, made the comments Wednesday on “The Morning Drive” on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Earnhardt expressed his disappointment in Gragson’s actions.

“I was disappointed and absolutely planned to discuss that with Noah and I have this week,” Earnhardt said of his discussion with Gragson on Tuesday. “Basically my message to Noah is that he needs to take that out of his toolbox. … He cannot be intentionally turning into guys on the straightaway.”

quote:

“And I told him that I could stand behind him through just about anything, but I could not defend that. And that’s a difficult thing for me. That’s a difficult position for me.

Bubba said the steering broke, and you want his owner to come out and say he hooked him on purpose with a statement like this?

Noah said he wrecked the guy. Bubba isn't saying that. Huge difference here.

However Denny feels about the situation, whether his team gets a fine or not doesn't change it. He isn't going to do something that increases the chance of a fine or other discipline.

Bubba Wallace has been suspended for the Cup race at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the incident with Kyle Larson. It's a one-race suspension; no fine nor points penalty.

Bubba said the steering broke,
yeah when you're steering is broken you should definitely go full throttle until you hit something. No one would ever lift off and hit the brakes when they can no longer steer the car. GTFO with this bullshite

This is the rule cited in the penalty report for the Bubba Wallace one-race suspension.

(My note: He broke about every rule yet no fine and no points? BS)

NASCAR also suspended Jeremy Clements crew chief Mark Setzer for one race, fined him $25K and docked Clements and the team 40 points for a body modification found in prequalifying tech at Las Vegas.

On SiriusXM, Steve O'Donnell says the Bubba Wallace penalty is "specific to what took place on the racetrack." It was a "dangerous act" that "put other competitors at risk." Said NASCAR wanted to draw a line and the intentional wreck crossed it.

I wish nascar would allow drivers to throw down hockey style. When someone hits the ground, it’s over.

apparently the "line drawn" isnt quite as bright red as the one for a crew chief with unapproved body modification. What a joke.

Or having a loose wheel.

Lose a wheel = 4 race suspension

Intentionally right rearing someone at 170 mph because you are mad = 1 race suspension

You know there was some behind the closed doors negotiating going on before nascar went public with the penalty.

I didn’t say I believed it, but if NASCAR could prove without any doubt his steering didn’t break do you honestly think there wouldn’t be a multi race suspension and huge fine? Like I’m talking a year or at least half a year. It’s that bad.

Whether his steering broke or not, the telemetry shows that he stayed in the throttle until he hit the 5 car.

And surely they can prove the steering break or not.

Since they said nothing, they know it didn’t break and he just lied. And everyone knows it.
