Lewis from the pit lane could bring entertainment for the whole race

Late to the game here, sorry if already discussed: I fast forwarded through Q1 but at one time, Lewis and George were on Mediums... the only onea in the field I think. Then in Q2 George still on Mediums. In Q1 George started on Mediums, switched to Softs and shot up to 6th. They did away with Q2 tire and starting race tire, so Im baffled why Merc would stay on Mediums.
Has Mercs tire choice(s) been discussed? Does anyone have a qualifying tire to time graphic like the do for races?

Russell didn't seem to have a problem getting a decent start position.

There's a tire chart on the previous page if you haven't gotten that far yet. It shows Russell chose 2 sets of hards in his allocation so he has one less set of softs than most everyone else.
The mediums didn't really seem that much slower than the softs for some reason so if they were good enough to advance he saved a set of softs for Q3.

Yep. Merc said they tried some trick shite on Hamilton's rear axle and it back fired.
Merc seems to be throwing balls of shite at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Again, bet Ham is regretting coming back this season…. Respect that he did and didn’t take the easy way out, but looking like he should have blamed it on getting screwed and needing to evaluate life. Let Merc figure out the car in 2022, then come back for one final try for 8 titles in 2023.

I think had he won he would have left, but I'm not convinced he leaves after this year even if mid-pack.
The contract is another issue, and I really believe Gasly is the heir to his seat at Merc.

Ham's already looking for a new ride.
He actually stopped by to see if Mick was ok. I don't like him but he generally has class that way.

I will be driving tomorrow during race activites. Does anyone have a (free) audio stream they recommend or should I just listen to Sky Sports video broadcast?

Thats funny that Haas uses fire extinguisher as a door stop.
Maybe this year's results will increase budget.

I’m pretty sure ESPN Radio broadcasts it.

A little useless history about this picture
'98 Spa after he collided with DC on the way down to Pouhon. Michael was having one of his otherworldly wet races and was leading by 40 seconds and DC was instructed to let him pass and slowed but stayed on the racing line and driving into the spray MSC hit DC putting himself out of the race. After meeting with the stewards he took a "leisurely walk" down to the McLaren pit to have a genteel discussion with David. Michael uttered something like he's fricking trying to kill me over the radio. About 5 years later DC accepted blame for the accident because he stayed on the racing line when he slowed.

When I saw the ambu trundling around the circuit I was thinking they need Sabine Schmitz driving. RIP Queen of the Ring.

Was that the race where Schumacher drove back to the pits on 3 wheels?
