The FIA releases a video at the same time as the Ferrari launch, outlining its structural changes to race control:
- Masi out as race director
- Remote race control that will support the race director
- Direct radio comms to race director removed

I’m digging the Ferrari…. Classic yet modern look.

Thank you YAH. There's openings, if you're in the IT space.

Question for the board. I won a contest with my company and I'll be going to the F1 race in Barcelona in May. Have Paddock Passes as well as Pit passes (no brag, just saying). Never been to a race before so I was wondering what I need to see and do while I'm there. Thanks all
Wear skinny pants about 2” too short, loafers and a silk shirt. Fit right in.

Some of those curves look like the came right off a Ferrari road car.
I have to say, I really like the aesthetic of the new generation car. Much more attractive than the more boxy shapes with fiddly aero bits all over of yesteryear.

RIP race director radio. You were fun while you lasted and gave us some amazing sound bites to use for many years into the future.

Check out how deep the curvature of the top of the sidepods dips way down, haven't seen that yet.

Yep, that particular element is exactly what prompted my comment. Specifically the shot at the 1:15 mark of the reveal video.

I am loving the variety we are seeing

The F1-75 appears to be a hero or zero car. Based on what we have seen so far there isn't much of the car that isn't different and some of it is radically different. From the high-mounted modular nose to the lack of swan neck pillars on the rear wing it is very different and the complexity of each change seems extremely deliberate.
Just look at this view of the sidepods and the complex "gill" system and you can see how much the dorsal fin is well like a dorsal fin.
I am not sure how interesting this season will be as it may just be one car gets it right and the others just can't catch up in time but lord the testing and first couple of races are almost sure to be fascinating even if the racing isn't close.
I am excited about what the kids from Maranello have put up but I also know they can be Keystone Cops at times and the entire car could have been designed with a parameter or two off in the CFD and in the wind tunnel could be miscalibrated.

I meant to mention more about the modular nose. It is a two-piece design the upper part being the structural one that has to pass crash tests and be homologated and the lower part with the wing elements that does not. This will allow them to update the wing by just changing the lower part and not have to homologate the upper part which is structural. This means quicker development with lower cost. It strikes me as a very McLaren idea.

Wow sounds awesome. This reminds me of my company, where one of my co-workers got a food scale for his 15th work anniversary

Looks like a way to really direct a lot on high pressure air with the mirror acting like a wing.

The changes from Spain to Bahrain will likely be huge.
