Like they gained absolutely nothing by pitting Sainz today at the end but lost 2 spots. It’s crazy.

I’m hindsight I think Ferarri did the right thing.
Sainz had to be 5 seconds on Russell/Checo and last another 10 laps. If he isn’t, he’s at beat p4 which is the same points as p5 + fastest lap. They already have one DNF and they can’t risk a second. I think the odds of Saints actually finishing P3 were slim.

Was so bizarre. Crazy pitting

It does make some sense. If ge doesn't serve the penalty he probably ends in the same spot.
Not sure anyone expect Merc to have that level of tire life at the end.

Just finished watching. I thought Leclerc response during race was very directed to not mention possible throttle issue. Then in post race cooldown, RBR comes on and tells Lewis/George it was throttle issue then immediately the audio is cut. I think everyone is skirting a possible unsafe car issue with FIA

Telemetry will show if the throttle was stuck. Until then it is hard to know if it was leclerc or the car that lost it.

Unless Sainz tires completely went off, he would have ended up in the same spot, Ferrari is so fricking dumb.

They do this every time in the cool-down room, but the guy just repeated what they heard on the radio when he bitched about the throttle.

Just watched the race, just checking in to say what a hilarious joke Ferrari is.

Also given Leclerc blaming the throttle in the moment, when he gave that interview I felt it seemed ezteneley rehearsed, he was selling it a bit too hard that it was all his fault. Didn't feel genuine at all.

I definitely got the feel that Leclerc was very careful not to blame Ferrari for the mishap in the post race interview.

Just watched the replay. Ferrari is retarded. They're just dedicated to being retarded.

FIA confirms hardware system issue during VSC period that cost Perez P3
Checo still got caught out, but appears this was the reason for his confusion.
quote:
In the build-up to this period, Sergio Perez and George Russell were engaged in a brilliant battle for third place. It looked like Perez had the advantage but the VSC gave Russell another chance. When the VSC is ready to end, an 'ending' message appears and the track returns to green at a random moment within a small timeframe. The ending period went on slightly longer and Red Bull questioned this post-race. The FIA confirmed that something went wrong.

Ferrari tolerates zero disloyalty in the media. "Never go against the Family."

I'm just catching up on the race. I'm quickly beggining to hate Russell. It seems like I hear complaining and blaming everyone else every race. He clearly had room and ran Checo off the track in the last third of the race and then whined like a little bitch about it.

Quick summary
Ferrari is on drugs need all decision makers tested asap
HAAS decision makers need drug tested. Worked up to an advantageous position then instead of staying out during caution (knowong they had to stop again) they bring them in and destroy their race. Idiots in that group, have cost them so many points this year!
Carlos should have stayed out he was P3 and might have given LH a fight for 2. Yes, he had a 5 sec penalty coming for bad release but the 2 behind him might have fought enought to get ahead by more than 5 secs. Had he passed LH he would have lost it afterwards but had a chance at P3 still.
Russell is another whiner surprised someone didn’t call the whambulance
Never heard why Haas retired car, was it the contact?
Max is taking full advantage of Ferrari mistakes.
Track is hard to pass on even with DRS.

It's getting harder for me to like him, but I still feel some sort of attachment to him. I really liked him at Williams because I'm a Williams fan and saw that he could drag them from the back to a little further up. Kind of that glimmer of hope that Williams needed.
You can't deny his skills, but he needs to work on his entitlement. A little humility would go a long way for his image.
