I feel like Perez is a team player where Max might not take to well to being an equal. I am curious when he will show it and if he can keep it inside until he has time to process it.

All this talk about Perez being as quick as Max is just silly in my opinion. Max has proved over a long time that he easily belongs in the fastest group of drivers when he has the right machinery. His race craft is pure genius and always seems to have a little extra he can pull out when required in the same mold as the greats of the sport. And I say this as a Lewis Hamilton fan.

No other driver, except maybe Alonso, would have snatched the championship from Lewis and Mercedes last season like Max did. Over a full season, Max will out-drive and out-perform his teammate 9 times out of 10. He has won a race every season he has raced for Red Bull and that's hard to do considering he was going against Mercedes/Lewis/Rosberg in the turbo era all of those seasons.

Agree, I’m pretty certain Max would ignore team orders to let Perez by if it was going to cost him.

Yep, 100%. Just like Vettel did to Mark Weber back when they were at Red Bull. He is just competitive that way in the mold of champions.

Checo wins tomorrow with the undercut on Leclerc. You heard it here first.

Drivers raised concerns over the effects porpoising is having on them during Friday’s meeting with FIA F1 race director Niels Wittich. “It got to a point where in the drivers’ briefing we all looked at each other and said ‘we need to do something’,” Sainz recounted.
“Because it’s okay one race, but can we do 10 more years like this? I doubt it.

“We kindly asked the FIA to look into it, to don’t, let’s say, listen to the teams too much and to listen to us [instead], that we were saying that it’s getting to a point where we are struggling, all of us, to handle this.”

Along with the aerodynamic changes to the cars, teams were also required to simplify their suspension systems this year. Sainz suggested relaxing this rule as a means of allowing teams to control the porpoising.

Haas raised the ride height on their cars as they blamed the cooling system failure on the bouncing. (Part of the reason they are so slow. Top end speed is fine but getting killed in the corners)

The drivers can demand the same of their teams to save their precious necks.

Otherwise, STFU.

F1 is going to do something about the porpoising. They are not going to risk one of these guys getting seriously injured. Look for them to allow the teams to spend more money and teams like Mercedes’ at some point going to a more traditional set up. E cause they are already out of the running for top 2. I think it will be very noticeable today on this fast road track and something will be done upcoming.

Russell is by far the guy screaming the longest and loudest about this.

Coincidentally his shitbox is the worst for bouncing and he's the head of the drivers group.

They can fix it by raising the car.

Other teams, like RB, that don't have a bouncing problem should not be penalized because other teams can't design a proper car.

"Seriously hurt" lolz The old you have to do it for safety bullshite argument.

Let’s go boys… early race, prefer the 8am starts, but nice to wake up and get straight to it.

Well, he is the GPDA rep so he kind of has to

Same reason RoGro always did it

Agreed. They should force the teams to fix it within the rules.

Have to appreciate Sky showing the Danny Ric/Max wreck in 2018 and then going to Horner and asking about Checo and Max.

Looks nice and hot today there...

Toto talking about how bad the bouncing is for drivers health and they need to do something.

Merc exhausted all design ideas and now full on campaigning for changes like active suspension I guess so they can level the field.

Feels like the good ole days in the 90's, when I had to wake up at 6 to watch pretty much every race, except a handful.

Put a rising rate suspension on it and their problems will go away.

F1 is not the only series to run ground effects.

I like these early races. I get to have some coffee and catch the race before the rest of the house wakes up and it doesn’t interfere with anything I have to do today.
