Something about a grievance from one of his injuries
Posted on 12/21/19 at 6:20 pm to WestCoastAg
While recovering from his multiple heel surgeries, he hurt himself doing things he wasn't supposed to be doing... allegedly. He was working on his ranch and stepped in a hole and had multiple fractures to his ankle.
That's the story anyway, you could just say...Mets...and that would cover it pretty good as well.
I believe the insurance company denied to pay his salary because it wasn't baseball related and that's how we get where we are now.

I'm so ready for the new owner and money no longer being an issue..new owner will be the second richest owner in all of professional sports behind Clippers guy. Maybe they will actually spend like a team that is in New York

Keuchel to White Sox for 3/55.5
Wouldn’t love it for my team but White Sox need somebody to eat innings.

Someone was gonna take their money
Posted on 12/21/19 at 7:20 pm to WestCoastAg
Vesting option could make it 4/$74M

Easily the worst signing so far. Keuchel is done.
edit:
Keuchel-3 years, 55.5 mil
Gio Gonzalez-1 year, 5 million
Gio Gonzalez has to get a better agent or something. He is the better pitcher, but is getting 50 million less from the White Sox?

Great spot for him, should thrive in that division.

What??? Cole, Rendon, and Strasberg deals are easily the worst. They gave out asinine years and asinine money to guys past their prime, and will be paying them a-hole $$ when they have nothing left, for years. Will make Pujols contract look bad, not horrible.

All of those players that you mentioned will more than likely be worth what they are paid. It might be all in the first four to five years, but they will be worth the crazy money.
18 million for three years was given to a guy that wasnt even worth 1 WAR in over 100 innings last year with Atlanta. Someone who had career highs in walks, batting average against, hard hit%, and who's fastball lost more speed(88.4 avg in 2019).
Keuchel might not be worth 18 million over the course of the contract.
Edit: Also, the Braves infield defense was worth +28 defensive runs saved in 2019. The White Sox probable starters? -20. I dont think I need to explain why this is very important for a contact, ground ball pitcher.

It’s an over pay but they needed some stability in the rotation. And the white Sox pitching coach, while obsolete, (he doesn’t use analytics) has excelled with soft tossing lefties like Buehrle.

The only way that deal pays off will be if his agent has retirement accounts set up for the Umpires Association, and even then, we will be electronic within 3 years

Thank God the Astros didn’t pick him back up.
