Mikey didn’t know anything was seriously wrong until Schrader came and talked to him in victory lane

The video of Kenny telling Mikey in victory lane was tough to watch

In Schrader's book that came out in the late 2000s, he briefly discussed that day. He said when he dropped Dale's window net, he knew it was bad, but that Dale was still alive and actually spoke to him. He went on to say that he told the family what he said, but no one else will ever know.

Schrader came out on the 10 year anniversary and said that Dale was dead and he knew it. Dale was killed instantly. I think we can say that with 100% certainty.

sources say he is stable

Girl on the facebook feed just called the "source" for that reporting. The "source" that girl referenced laid out that they hadn't told her anything.

Yes. They have foam filled fuel cells in them with roll over check balls. However in a violent enough of a crash they can leak some. Nothing is totally indestructible.

Are we sure that was fuel and not something else? Seems like if that’s gasoline, it would have ignited.

It may have been rear axle grease leaking but not likely. It was the rear of the car so nothing else fluid back there.

That article says he’s stable but has nothing in it about his condition and even says details about his condition are unknown.

Assuming he’s ok, I can’t imagine the mental hurdle it’s going to be to get back on the track

I've never read that book, but I never heard Kenny say this in any interview. I think Dale was dead on impact. I don't think someone is alive and talking with at Basilar skull fracture.

I'm not so sure it was fuel leaking. It may have been water from his helmet cooler.

Anything leaking from the from would most likely be water and oil from the engine

I would take every report with a grain of salt until we get an official statement. Twitter posts, even when coming from a credible source, are conflicting.

He was killed instantly. Schrader said he was dead when he got to the car. He said this in on the 10th anniversary of his death.

It would have to be either fuel or water, it was too thin for oil, and it was coming from the fuel cell area of the car (the rear end). There is no water back there to be pouring out, the radiator is of course In the nose

I think it was coolant.
