I like to think I would have been able to fold Kings in Labat’s position, but at the same time if you win that hand you have over 25% of the chips.

last year LDL did a $25k freeroll and it was pretty lively
but they had like 100 entrants and 2 tiers

Oh yeah it wasnt bad at all. Tournament had all the usual crushers and some alternates. Final four chopped it evenly

b/c i won the LDL one I'm referring to. the final table voted 9-1 for an even chop of $2500 and one guy held out. i knocked that guy out and he got....$2500
then i chopped with a reg 8/7 for the final 2 (we agreed prior to chop once/if one of us knocked that guy out)
let me just say that guy fricked himself hard. i guess he thought he was some elite player but he pissed off like ALL the regs and i'm pretty sure went busto a couple months later and went back to wherever he came from.
idiots like that forget that to have a poker ecosystem you can't act like it's always zero sum. you need tourists and gamblers having fun. you also can't piss off and get targeted by the legit pros who are better than you who DO understand how the ecosystem has to work

Yours must have been before i started playing there, bc I played in the last two freerolls at LDL. December & April/March ish i cant remember

I can't fault the guy for not wanting to chop. I never did either. The money is for 1st. Defeats the purpose of an MTT if you just want to make it to the FT and then chop. I get wanting to keep the recs happy, But I'm not chopping for that reason only. Unless it works out in my favor due to being short or something. I would always be polite about it, but pass.

Yeah... I was just a once or twice a month 1/2 NL player at the poker rooms in Florida.
Sometimes would do small single-table tournaments. Sad to see the home game doesn't really exist here.

I play home games.
On July 3 we had dealers choice (7 card stud, folllow the queen, low Chicago in the hole gets half the pot, Cincinnati, 5 card draw, one jacks and suicide king wild, etc)before playing a 10 man hold em tourney. We do it every few weeks.
