Wahoo.....it just becomes even more irrelevant.

The NFL shouldn't even have the pro bowl anymore.

Is it me or is this a retarded idea? A QB who may make the SuperBowl will be chilling in Hawaii playing in an irrelevant game one week before?

Considering it's irrelevance, it should be after all relevant events (Super Bowl) have concluded

You're an idiot and this is an idea that was a long time in coming. Players involved in the Super Bowl will obviously not play in the Pro Bowl, they'll probably just be on the sidelines wearing their Pro Bowl jersey with no pads.

are they going to push the voting back until after the regular season is over at least?

I don't care when the frick they play it, but give us the whole season to decide who does play

Um, you may want to re-read where the game will be played...

I'm glad they moved it to before. Always seemed odd to play an all-star game after the league championship. Now, there's something to fill the bye week. You lose a few guys, but overall, I like that the SB ends the season.

I don't think they should bother having the game anymore.

keep the voting but there is no need for a meaningless pro football game.

Oops, didn't read that part.

I still think an exhibition belongs after the season.

I like it. Many times the Super Bowl players don't do much in that game anyway. It will be good to have something break the 2 weeks of over hype.

football's just a sport that doesn't need an all-star game ... baseball and basketball are different .. but there's really no way to physically have a "pro bowl break" in the middle of the season and outside of the fact that the game is in hawaii .. no one really gives a shite about it after the super bowl ... playing it on the open week is an interesting idea .. although one would imagine that the two super bowl teams will have an assload of players on each team that can't play .. so the game will be covered with back-ups starting ... if this doesn't work i think the game eventually dies altogether ..

I say bring back the old College All Stars vs. the Super Bowl champ.

The Pro bowl IS a joke.

Loved that game. Sadly, I believe the pro teams would not want their drafted players playing in the game due to it disrupting training camps and possible injury risks, so the "All-Star" team would end up being made up of undrafted players and unsigned FAs.

back when that game was played in the 60s and early 70s .. the landscape was totally different .. the game was played in june -- about a month to 6 weeks before camp at soldier field in chicago .. in fact, the last game ever was suspended due to lightning and never re-started .. i think the all-stars only won once .. beat the packers in like the early 60s ..
