I feel terrible for Shazier but I was expecting him to be around that level. They didn’t show the guy even standing for months. There was finally a moment where he stood but he didn’t walk even a step.
Kevin Everett had a really serious spinal injury in 2007. He retired pretty much on the spot and he won an award for raising money for spinal research. I think it was at the 2008 ESPYs. I had kept close tabs on that story and he moved much better than Shazier when walking to the podium.
Feel terrible for Shazier.
