You wonder though if he will be another of those guys who caught lightning in a bottle for 4 days, won his major, then will kind of fade into obscurity. Seems there have been quite a few of them since the Tiger era ended. Time will tell.
He’s 36. He’s a top 25 golfer in the world based on mostly consistent play. He’s been in tip top form of late.

He’s not really a candidate for “lightning in a bottle and then fade into obscurity” candidate. What you saw is who he is.

Leave off Cantlay, Keegan, or Morikawa if JT even halfway finds some form.

Mostly based on me not enjoying watching Cantlay or Keegan at all.

Even though he went to Bama, JT is my first delete.

Cantlay and Xander are basically an auto pairing. So he’s in. I want JT to be in, but his play doesn’t warrant it right now. I’d want to see multiple top 20 finishes before even considering it.

As an lsu guy I’m not sure how confident I am in burns either. He seems to thrive in match play though.

I don’t trust the Wyndham Clark’s and Brian Harman’s in an event like this. Some of those captain picks possibilities aren’t exactly playing their best golf right now either. I know nothing about this course but Harman might at least be a good fit for how the Euros typically set it up I guess

Cam Young should 100% be in though if he finishes the year strong IMO

I'm out of the loop on why people are hating on Harman. I thought it was just that they wanted a good finish, and he dusted the field. Why would anyone not like Harman?

This is correct.

Everyone in here acting like a scrub won the open. When UGA was recruiting Brian he had one of the most impressive junior careers of all time. Coach Haack straight up told me he was breaking records everyone thought were untouchable that Tiger set. He was a big deal coming out of high school. He’s also baw af and I couldn’t be happier for the guy for overcoming the grind

Harman seems like a down to earth dude for sure and I'm glad he won it.

I promise you there are about 50 professional golfers who have a much lower opinion of Rory than they did 3 years ago.

Proof? Or are you just talking out of your arse?

Knowing you it's the latter

It kind of sucks the majors for golf are over
It was better when pga was later in calendar
I know they consider the players championship the fifth major plus you have the Ryder cup
The fed ex cup playoff is nothing exciting

Yeah they should have a late fall/winter major

Would be dope

I don’t think anyone cares about the fedex cup, except the players bc they can make a lot of money by placing high.

Agreed. I liked at least one more month to get us to football season.

PGA should be mid August before football starts

Golf being essentially over in July sucks. I could care less about the FEDEX CUP, and if it weren't for the Ryder Cup, I would be saying adios to the PGA.
