You do realize none of us put big money into this? I've turned $14 into over 1000 in 2 days. People in this for a couple months have turned $14-100 into 5 figures.
One thing that's important is that the NBA is one of the most international leagues. There are people itching to get into NBA collectibles all around the globe. There are so many barriers to them collecting in the physical sports card market.

What do you want to know? The knowledge barrier isn’t that bad if you are genuinely curious.

I guess I’m just confused as to the entire process.
So I buy a Zion Williamson highlight from who? And then where am I selling it, and to who?
I am genuinely curious. Anytime a new line like this opens up I’m intrigued.

It's basically virtual trading cards, backed by the blockchain.
You can pull the Zion from a pack or purchase it from another person. Once you have the Zion in your possession, you can then sell it to other people or keep it

And is there a marketplace for this? Where do I even see highlights available for purchase?
Posted on 3/9/21 at 9:19 am to Swagga
The marketplace has a search function on it - just type Zion and everything for sale shows up.

This is the process flow
1- "Pack Drop" - they (NBA top shot) sells a predetermined number of packs containing a set of highlights at a specific amount. All three vary.
2- you sign up for said pack drop and hope the number you're randomly assigned is lower than the number of packs available so that you'll be able to purchase one. Obviously the more popular it gets, the harder it is for you to buy one
3- once those packs are distributed, they can be listed for sale by the ones who were lucky to get it.
So far if you get your hands on a pack, you easily make money by selling the moments in it on the marketplace. Now how much money depends on the player/highlight/serial number.
So yeah if you just focus on drops and and get lucky to get your hands on one you're not going to lose "so much money."
If you're buying from the marketplace, that takes a lot more analysis.

Someone explain the challenges to me. Main questions. Using the Seeing Stars challenge they just released which awards a Durant card. Seeing Stars were numbered to 10,000.
1. How many people can I expect to realistically complete this challenge?
2. How much would the Durant most likely be worth that is awarded?

hard to answer those questions tbh - it really depends on how valuable people think that the durant reward is, that challenge could go either way imo

Are y’all able to post some of the moments y’all have snagged?

If you're buying from the marketplace you can get all 24 rising stars for $4500 and that will get you a Durant and a Lebron. That's probably worth it. Because of they lose 50% after the challenge is over, you will only need Lebron+KD to net you $2250.
But to answer your question, no one knows. Look at previous challenges and see how many people completed them to get an idea. But if something else is released in the meantime, it may take the attention away from the challenge, dropping those prices even further.

Does this mean it has been sold on the marketplace 985 times since it’s original unveiling/purchase? And it started selling on the marketplace ~$260 and now it’s demanding freakin $250,000 when it sells?
