This whole thing feels like Beanie Babies 2.0, but at least with Beanie Babies you could physically hold them

This whole thing seems weird as hell to me, but I'm about to throw some money at it whenever I can.

I thought Bitcoin was weird too.

Being in on this experience from nearly the jump made me realize even more how people, including myself, are quick to dismiss something so easily. Maybe it does fail, oh well I'll lose $100, maybe it won't and i'll end up cashing out what I have now and make a nice profit or maybe it's actually the future thing for the next 5-20 years and I'll make out really well. Who knows? It's fun nonetheless.

I don't like that their website appears to be having major issues at the moment.

This wouldn't be for me to actually own either, but with the new generation it's possible.. They have an account with all of their collectibles they get to "show off" to the masses instead of having a card locked up in their cabinet and they don't get to look cool.

But this may not be it either since gen z seem to not really care about sports

I'm actually intrigued by some of the aspects that could come with these collectibles, so far for instance it's lead to pretty cool interaction with some of the NBA players. Again I really don't have any need to interact with them but I can see how that would be a selling point

You cant forget too that if another company comes in and phases TS out of business, you lose all those cards too.

If you were to pull a 1/1 Panini Prizm Zion today and Panini goes under tomorrow, you still have an incredibly valuable card.

Too many variables that can drown this sector, which is why I'm going to let it mature first before getting in.

they have addressed this, and you wouldn't lose your "cards"
now finding a market to sell them may be an issue. Again a lot of variables. But for me as someone who has sat out of hundreds of things because it was "Stupid" and "i didn't get it" just to watch them blow up I decided to just take the plunge here and see what happens.

I tried finding answers to some of my questions on their website, but it's a terrible site

If they lose their NBA exclusivity rights, are these considered digital content and will have to be removed?

Yeah the website is not great. I'd recommend getting on their discord. If you can sift through the crappy posting by people complaining about pack drops you can find some pretty useful stuff.

The company can go under yes, but the flow dapper labs blockchain is still there. I'm not sure how would that all work, all this stuff is still new.

So ppl say it’s like a baseball card but I don’t see how

If I possess a baseball card that means no one else can possess it

This is a digital highlight he doesn’t have exclusive rights to meaning anyone can play it at anytime without him, why would the value ever go up?

They can watch it but they don't own it/can't sell it.

no one else possesses the clips that I have. If you are saying that they do because you can watch them too, well I can also look at a picture of your baseball card without possessing it.
