Ohio State played a brutal schedule this year and are getting rewarded for it like the committee has said teams would. It is really not that hard to understand.

So the different scenarios look like they'll play out like this (with all the usual caveats about huge blowouts or something similar):

Clemson and Washington win this weekend:

1) Alabama
2) Ohio State
3) Clemson
4) Washington

Washington loses. Clemson wins. Wisconsin wins:

1) Alabama
2) Ohio State
3) Clemson
4) Wisconsin

Washington wins. Clemson loses. Wisconsin wins:

1) Alabama
2) Ohio State
3) Washington
4) Wisconsin

Agree

The chaos scenario...Washington loses. Clemson loses. Penn State wins:

1) Alabama
2) Ohio State
3) Colorado?
4) Michigan? Penn State?

Michigan has to be in under this scenario.

1) Alabama
2) Ohio State
3) Michigan

Last spot between Penn State and Colorado, right?

ETA: They might put Michigan 4th to avoid a re-match with Ohio State, if they're thinking that way.

Are you saying the committee won't just for appearances?

What does Clemson beating Va Tech do to warrant them jumping over Ohio State? Nothing.

Hot take: Committee had Wisc 6th so when PSU beats em, it looks even better, and vaults them ahead of OSU.

I know, but it's a bit different as both those teams would have 2 losses so they may be comparable.

Michigan at number 5 with beating CU, PSU and Wisconsin by 66 combined points is a nice wall of protection for OSU. Beating them in OT was a blessing.

Louisiana is 49th ranked in literacy, its not that amazing

Clemson might, but I don't think a Va Tech win is an automatic vault, especially if it's close.

Washington has no shot. The resume gap is too big.

Penn state vs Bama would make last year MSU vs Bama look like the 2005 rose bowl.

Calling your schedule brutal is funny. Damn near everybody sucks this year. Your schedule wasn't brutal.

I was a big defender of the committee the first two years. I thought they did a pretty decent job.

They are an absolute joke this year. This whole thing is a shite show. Auburn falls 1 spot for losing to Alabama and looking abysmal on offense. LSU falls ELEVEN spots for losing to Alabama and looking abysmal on offense.

Which team behind Auburn is better than us?

OSU has 1 less loss

OSU is 3-1 against the Top 10
PSU is 1-1 against the Top 10 and 1-2 against the top 25

That is how. Was a bigger gap before they put Pitt in and dropped Nebraska

Basically, the committee has just said that its

#1 Alabama
#2 Clemson
#3 Washington
#4 Wisky/Penn State

They did this 2 years ago and knocked out the Big 12 for not "winning their conference." Ohio State benefited and won it all...They will whine like bitches when they are left out this year for the same reason...

Wow, didn't know committee members posted on TD.

"Not close?"

I guess the committee watched a ton of games but not the games on October 22nd.
