Why tariffs will not cause inflation

The biggest reason is supply vs demand.
- Removing up to 30 million people will ease the prices because demand is down for those goods.
- Trump has always placed loopholes in the tariffs that allow for companies to move some operations here and not pay Tariffs.
And as we all have seen, nations need the USA consumer. Mexico and Canada just needed reminding of that and that friends help each other out.
As a result of the sell off over concern, I think alot of us made really great money today.

Tariffs also won't cause inflation because we finally have a competent POTUS that realizes exactly what is under our feet. Black gold is the greatest equalizer and leverage piece of them all.

The biggest reason thus far seems to be that the opposing countries are bending the knee before price can be impacted.

canada is fricking us on dairy tariffs, however this was over drugs and the border and illegals and the fact 90% on terror list have come through canada.
dumbass libtards in canada have completely shite the bed and trump is beating their arse with a belt telling them how it will be now.

Price increases will be temporary as long term manufacturers will move their operations into the US to avoid the tariffs which will supercharge economy.

I have 3 manufacturing plants in the US I can barely staff with competent labor NOW. American manufacturing is not the dream many hope for without serious societal change.

You left off these countries devalue their money
that makes Mexican goods cheaper to export and our more expensive.
We act like Trump is the only one doing anything ----were catching hits as well

These are both long term plays. I’d be shocked if 30 million people are deported by the end of Trumps term. Probably will be a small fraction of that number. Factories aren’t built overnight plus you need people willing to work in those factories. I don’t think minimum wage needs to be some sky high figure, but if you want Americans working in those factories you’re going to have to pay a fair wage and offer benefits.
Trump typically uses these tariffs as a bluff for bargaining, but if they stay in place I think we will see prices rise in the short term.

Are you not the one who just went on a rant here over the scarey tariffs and stated it was not about the drugs? Yet Trump paused it due to what??
Yes, you can remove that many.
Yes, you can remove that many.

Not many and hardly anyone who is using fentanyl is going to be skilled or even gainfully employed

Several haters in that thread.

Why do you assume that? Skilled? I would say Prince was very skilled. Stephen and Carol Baxter were millionaires and owners of a company. Dead... Fentanyl.
People always assume it's the "trash" of the world that gets sucked into things like this. It's not.
