I’m not messing with that smoke. Seems like the smart play is some sort of derivative. Maybe calls for QQQ or whatever sector it falls into?

It’s a little crazy for any IPO to come out of the gate at 5% of the nasdaq 100, and who knows how much higher the initial run will be…and who knows how quick it may correct.

…The last time an IPO came out this size MBS had to huddle the family for for an investors meeting and offered them patriotism or prison to ensure Aramco’s success.

If we’re being technical…we’re all buying due to the stupid rule about the near immediate adding them to ETFs

IPO
Put em on your watchlist and wait.
If it runs away, oh well, move on.
If it drops like mostly all of them, get your shares at a much better price later.

Should be interesting regardless

Wait 6 months for me.

FOMO investors will drive the price up initially. It’ll settle down.

Chaining the xAI debacle to it, guarantees no real near term profit.

Metrics will show it's massively overvalued... But with the rest of the market no one will care even if there is zero path to profitability until.. one day it starts to matter

I feel this IPO will either “keep the music playing” or if it’s lackluster; be the tip of the bubble pop where we look back 7 years from now and say this event started the downward trend.

I’m not sure any of that makes sense.

If blackrock wanted SpaceX I’m certain they already had the opportunity. If not, I’m even more certain they wouldn’t announce a huge buy at opening that would blow up the price.

Suck in retail after the big early buy and sell a huge chunk for a big profit.

Apparently the regular MB guys hate Elon but SPCX is going to huge. It’s essentially a monopoly for putting payloads in space. The synergy between SPCX, Tesla, and xAI for data centers in space is going to be unreal the next 5 years. Don’t forget that Starlink is also part of SPCX. I don’t see this dropping significantly after the IPO but if it does I’ll just buy more.

Considering they are doing a 5-1 split before IPO, seems like they are pushing for an enormous retail raise. More interested in what trading occurs after the insider lock up ends.

How many data centers in space do you think there will be in 5 years

I’m more curious about the potential scaleability for shitty satellite service. I presume most people prefer their ATT fiber at half the price, while emerging markets can’t afford the services regardless.

From Gemini:

SpaceX: Filed ambitious plans with the FCC for an orbital data center constellation that could eventually scale up to one million satellites.

Orbital data centers solve all the current issues with power and water for cooling plus there are no neighbors to annoy. It’s the future and will happen in the next 5-10 years.
