my how the crypto has plummeted: down 20% in august alone and hit under $6,000 for first time in ages- some ways from the $20,000 high earlier this year.

how can it be used as a medium of exchange?

it's too volatile. say one's selling a product with a 10% margin and bitcoin is down 15% that day. one would lose money by selling their product in that scenario

This board was unbearable on the ride up to $20K. It is interesting but you would swear it was the only financial topic allowed on the board.

It is getting close to time to buy though. It will get back up eventually but not the $20k like it was.

I encouraged some of the crypto guys on the MT to have an exit game plan. I’m sure some wished they’d done so instead of telling me “I was losing people money by scaring them.”

$13-14k USD at the time of OP.

Have a plan.

It's easy to be a naysayer after things get that high

I pulled all of my money out around the time trx hit $.30 - it's basically been a red market since, but I put my earning back into xlm this morning. That was my plan, and it's worked out well for me so far.

I think we are about to see the death of a lot of altcoins

Lol you’re the guy who started putting money in at the height of the crypto hype and then blamed the board for losing you money

You must not be keeping up with crypto if you still think that bitcoin is trying to be a medium of exchange for everyday purchases. Despite the meteoric rise and fall crypto is still outperforming the stock market for anyone that’s been in both longer than 14 months. Sure, there is alot of altcoins that still need to fail but there is still immeasurable value in some. I look forward to seeing your reactions during the next all time highs.

Remember that guy that was posting on this site back when Bitcoin was $12 each.

I wonder if anyone listened to him.

I'm jealous of all the money that could have been made, but I still contend the fundamentals are/were never there. It's not the first time a ton of money was made on a relatively worthless "investment", and it won't be the last, but bravo to those who played it correctly nonetheless.

Which ones have the immeasurable value?
