Let’s say... over a day or so the book is slammed down on crypto transactions in some way and major crypto “currency” starts to take a beating. Strong hands in the form of large hedge funds and other private placements have been in cryptos far longer than most of you and have far larger gains.

You won’t convince me that the strong hands won’t be the first ones out, and when that happens I have full confidence the average investor (you) will be standing there like an idiot. Major swings will occur in 2018, go ahead and book that.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see 50% price retracements. Are you comfortable with your $50k turning into $30k overnight? If you are buying crypto, you should be.

I hope all of you get rich beyond your wildest dreams, but know that your newly found get rich scheme is being played by bigger money than your Coinbase account. All I’m saying is you better have a plan before reality kicks you in the nuts.

Anyone entering crypto not understanding they can lose it all is foolish and should not be throwing money into the crypto market.

I'm holding for the long haul and will ride the wave

Many folks have dumped entire diversified portfolios for the blockTRAIN and may be very disappointed and sell at the perfectly wrong times to lock in terrible investment decisions.

If anyone thinks I’m wrong... call me out, I’ll bookmark this for 6-12 months and we’ll talk about it.

You say you’re in it for the long haul but the volatility in the cryptos will be gut wrenching. I don’t know how much you personally have invested but again... to think you’re good to go when a 50k turns to 30k or a 250k gets cut in half. Well, you forget what 2008 felt like.

Castor... I’m not making a bullish or bearish call my friend. That’s not my point.

If I help ONE crypto buyer plan ahead before they get punched in the nose by a huge shock, then I accomplished something.

I've been in crypto for almost a year now. I've seen more than a few 50% corrections. It doesn't really bother me much anymore

I was looking at trucks online tonight so I could cash out a little bit of profits for a new vehicle. I closed the Toyota website as soon as I saw the dip occurring

This can be said for anyone that over invests in anything.

For those of us that have made this a hobby I find these swings fascinating

Major swings have been occurring since bitcoin was first traded. Shut up.

Oh and look another negative thread about crypto allowed. Chicken, what happened to crypto topics only being allowed in the sticky thread?

All day! I’m not hating on putting money into something that moves. I personally speculate large lots of options and I’ve made plenty of money on those trades.

My point is not to start a debate on the merit of cryptos. I don’t want to stir you little tech-hippies up.

LOL.. you serious? This thread has more sensible value than 90% of the crypto threads I’ve read.

Go write a letter bitch.

that was my point, you haven't taken a position so there's really nothing to be wrong about.

If you think I’m wrong about the volatility. Not everyone can handle the swings, especially when it’s 50% or more of some folks’ wealth.

Apparently the South Korea news was FAKE and it cost me and others a lot of money when we panic sold.
