Don't blame you. Too many people out there with no integrity. I wonder if he'll come back and defend himself.

It doesn't matter to me. That link to his post which Politiceaux gave was enough to convince me I don't want to sully my reputation with my business friends by endorsing him for a job.

I guess I just felt bad for him looking for a job for 7 months with no luck. I should have known there was a reason for that which some prospective employers learned about when they did some due diligence.

My mistake......

What did this guy do that was so incredibly bad? Does he have some sort of non-compete?

I read the thread. I don't understand what the issue is here. As long as his productivity doesn't decrease at job #1 then there is no reason why he couldn't also have a job #2. This is no different that someone working for a particular company say Merrill Lynch and also advising at FINRA.

If you think there is nothing wrong with this, then I would never want you working for me.

Just read his comments about ethics. That's all you need to know.

Russian went out of his way to help this guy and now he gets burned.

Alejandro is a fricking prick. I don't wish unemployment on people, but he dug his own grave IMO.

Makes me look pretty foolish telling long-time business colleagues to forget about the resume I just sent to them because I just learned the guy has questionable business ethics.

I'm sure I'll catch hell the next time I see my friends while they have a good laugh at my gullibility.

No, it sounds like his company got bought out and they downsized. Well no shite they're going to cut the guys who don't really work (according to his OT thread).

So he got a severance for $40k in Jan, but his "invincible MBA" hasn't gotten him anywhere.

Russian offers to help. Finds out about the other thread where Alejandro didn't think it was unethical to work two jobs at the same time (literally on the clock for both) and is now having to email his buddies telling them not to interview this cat.

alejandro is learning the hard way. one of the biggest things I have learned since college that you never take the easy way out, don't do shady shite, or don't take a job b/c the grass seems greener. the latter I had to learn the hard way.

I know this isn't the most epic boom in TD history, but he probably won't come back and post.

Alejandro was always edgy on his posts, but there are some here that talk a lot. Hell, some people here think I'm an a-hole when anyone that knows me IRL knows that's far from the truth. So I just shook it off but the puzzle pieces are being connected.

He started another thread on the OT as well about accepting a new job, relocating for the new job, without telling his employer about it. He was gonna milk it as long as he possibly could. I know I posted in it and the link provided in this thread isn't the same one.

Wow...so that bump from the OT isn't the only time?

Sounds like he isn't being truthful on why he was terminated.

Yes sir usually the only time the grass is greener is when it is by he sewer. I learned that shite the hard way myself and still kick myself in the arse every day for a stupid arse move looking back on it now

Unfortunately, its how we learn. Props to Russian on this one, though. Tough to step out like that.

Just saw all this hell breaking loose - I'm really sad but I do understand obviously. I have learned a lot and been humbled a great deal in the past 7 months (despite what my online persona is), and this is just another something I'll have to overcome.

When I do get a new job I am definitely not going to take it for granted (although I insist that had nothing to do with why I was downsized - strictly geographical).

Russian is obviously a good guy and while I understand him being upset and what-not, I urge him to reconsider his vow to not help other people on the TD network out.
