Curiosity, why do you want to continue to own a vehicle with so much maintenance required? And is this a daily driver?

Buy a Tundra, don’t need to worry about a warranty.
I think Toyota is still having turbo problems.

Why the need for a brand new problem. Buy a pre covid base model and keep it forever. Hell, you can buy 3 of them for the cost of a brand new one.

I’d trade it in, + the $8k you are about to drop, and buy a brand new/ CPO Tacoma, or he’ll , just about any truck.

people who have never driven them don't understand. I can afford to drive anything I want and I don't think I'll never not have one as a daily driver.

Yeah I’m getting the same thing. I thought about the new Lexus GX overtrail but I love having a truck and love the raptor for how it rides. Other trucks just don’t compare on ride quality.

I see 2025 F150 XLT for 45K. I would trade it in for something like that.

I was recently in your spot. I chose warranty because price of new vehicles went up so much and interest rates were so high.
Warranty made sense.

Is it too late to make the point, warranties are not designed to save you money.

How do some of yall have so many vehicle repairs? I’ve put hundreds of thousands of miles on my vehicles over my time driving and the only non routine maintenance I’ve ever had was a transmission rebuild on a vehicle that I got $250k miles out of.

What repairs and at what mileage? You had bumper for 3/36 and powertrain for 5/60. Repairs under those timeframes are factory and not extended.
I have gone in detail in the past, but if you take the money you want to buy a warranty with and simply invest it, you will always come out ahead over time.

I just traded in my 2018 raptor in the BR area about 2 months ago with 63k miles and got $39k for trade in.
I traded it in for a 21 plat with 28k miles on it that was priced at $48K
I regret not getting another extended warranty on my Raptor and keeping it.
As a previous Raptor owner who regrets his decision, pay the warranty (shop around for any cheaper ones because $8,500 does seem steep) and keep your baby or trade up for another Gen 3 Raptor.

You driving Toyotas or Hondas?

Is the raptor paid off? Seems like the extended warranty and new shocks is the way to go. Also paying 80k for a truck you don’t use for business is crazy

I had to replace came phasers twice. 1st was under power train, 2nd was not. Transmission about 6k miles ago. Sunroof 10k miles ago. Don’t remember on stereo.

Yeah paid off. I wish I could expense it as a business owner.

Old timer that's owned a lot of trucks here, personally and 3 generations plumbing business.
If you've regularly serviced the Raptor, and not ragged it out hitting redline on tach frequently, keep it. You don't need the extended warranty, waste of money and 8500 bucks can get you a lot of repair that will probably never be needed.
Second suggestion. Get a new Tundra, or a 2000-2006 Tundra no matter the miles. You can't break those older simple Tundra trucks.
