Once you figure that out let me know because I don’t have a crystal ball.

I have a lot of money in call options that expire mid September with strike prices of $80, $82 and $85….so hopefully soon

nope...not yet. Wednesday might test my patience though. I could sell half of my contracts cause I am scared NVDA will have a slight miss, but give good guidance and a stock buy back...not sure how that would do for NBIS

Could be a good day to sell and then buy back on Thursday after the emotions settle

But if NVDA hits and upgrades their guidance....would miss an absolute monster

If you were you, what would you do with some Sep 5th $70 strikes? When is the optimal time to sell?

depends on your risk factor....

Just so you know, last Thursday (i posted it on here), I bough 20 $70 calls exp this Friday for $1.52. I've double that money as of right now, but I am holding those until Wednesday, unless this thing takes a big hit, I have a limit order in now that would trigger around $69 stock price.

I like the chart too.
Best of luck on your weeklies.
I’ve started the process of going back to shares.
Between quarters if it’s riding high I may just sell some lots (not all) as weekly covered calls.
This would be if the stock price was steadily over $75.

This will be my strategy as well. Currently at 2500 shares, would like to get it up closer to 4000

I will probably just keep my $70 November calls as they are up huge from when I got them

Hang in there everyone. We got our post earnings boost and $70 seems to be the new $50.
May need a bit of news or one hell of a market to go $75-85.

Are you buying shares at these prices or accumulating on pull backs?

What I’ve been up to if anyone cares about this “strategy”…

Sold enough options this morning to buy 141 shares.
Sold all shares at 69.35 and immediately bought fairly conservative options.
(28) - 10/17 $85
(1) - 11/21 $85

As of close today:
Up 7.6% on the 10/17s
Up 4.84% on the 11/21
NBIS shares up 1.6% since I sold at 69.35

I just continue to leverage when the stock is down and unload the leverage when the stock is up and the calls are juiced.
I don’t have the time to make it a science, but I make it work.

MongoDB just killed their earning and gave a rise in guidance. Up 35% pre market. Okta, Snowflake and NVDA release after close today. If they both beat and give guidance, the entire AI market is going to soar, including NBIS and PLTR

Nervous day with everything I’m currently holding.

So do you buy naked options or whatever?

To do one covered call you have to have 100 shares of the stock, right? Or am I mistaken?

Good luck IT. I’m just holding my shares waiting to see what happens. The bar is set so high for NVDA it makes me nervous.

Thanks. You too Squatch.

I think we could flirt with 75 today. If we get there, I might sell off half my call options just to protect myself some on this stock.

yea, I hold about 800 shares of NVDA and nervous as well. I think the ~$5B hit from China ban is baked into the earnings, but a slight miss could send this stock down quite a bit. The big thing will be their guidance
