Is Vanguard brokerage platform okay? Considering moving an existing account.

Are you actively trading or just passive investing. Their interface is pretty bare bones. I prefer Schwab. Really depends.on how you use it and what you like layout wise. For instance, the way Schwab shows projected interest and dividends is helpful for projecting bracket space I'll have available for LTCG harvesting or Roth conversions.

I've had my IRA and Roth IRA accounts there for years. If you're wanting to actively trade though I'd go with IB or Schwab. For everyday investing Vanguard is fine. Their estate department is very good to work with.

I use vanguard for my retirement accounts and Schwab for my trading account. Obviously you can trade on vanguard but that’s just the way I’ve always done it (TD Ameritrade before Schwab)

I think Vanguard, Schwab, or Fidelity are all good. Each has strengths. But for most households don’t need anymore.

Vanguard is great if you are not day trading. I've use them for decades and love the low fees.

yeah vanguard pretty meh now. Used to be great.

no inverse or leveraged funds. they used to not allow any crypto ETFs either but supposedly reversed that after huge blowback.

i use schwab for all retirement accounts. moved it all from vanguard ages back and i use e trade. i trade with schwab and e trade as well.

Yes, I only use it, no need to pay someone to manage your account. If your goal is long-term investing, low costs, and a simple buy-and-hold approach, Vanguard is a solid choice. Low expense ratios on index funds and ETFs. I invest monthly, low cost index funds, VTI, VOO, and BND, and leave it alone.

I've only used Vanguard when a company 401(k) required me to as recently as this year. That interface seems very 2005. I've moved all retirement and brokerage accounts to Schwab. The AI/Robo advisor has done a great job for me the last three years.
