But seriously, in a few months after things stabilize and the IPO lock-up period ends, I'll definitely be looking to jump in at some level. Hats off to what the guy has accomplished.

Zero to a Trillion in 30yrs. Only in America.

The valuation makes no sense whatsoever. Even if you applied Tesla's absolutely stupid price/earnings ratio of ~360, Space X would need to at minimum double their revenue at~25% margin to justify their valuation.

The valuation can only be justified if you think an entire new Space industry with a massive TAM is about to be formed and monopolized by SpaceX. You are buying a vision of the future - you are not owning durable, predictable cash flows. It's not an investment profile for everyone.

I’m just saying in that in a real country where the people are free and the government loves the people and sees them as more than a revenue source like China this kind of stuff doesn’t happen very much because if a ceo tries to rip everybody off there are penalties

I didn't realize the gov't was making investors buy overpriced equities. Is it a law that is forcing you to do this, or did Trump go the EO route?

The government forces citizens to buy overpriced equities via trumpflation

Because the dollar loses 25%+ of its value every year you’re essentially forced to gamble to survive

I mean he was going to be a Trillionaire at the $135 IPO price so until it drops below that I would save the jokes.

I think i read at least 5 posts on here and twitter about people who bought shares "they were never selling" and going to hand down to their kids kids and shite like that. Actually reading those posts made me scared to hold spcx overnight.

I cant help but go contrarian when sentiment gets over the top. Over 100x rev with a mammoth lockup in place also is pretty scarey, to be fair.

A quant firm in New York said it’s going to 55000 a share by January

With only 5% of shares trading, and 60% of remaining coming unlocked this year and the rest when elon hits 366 days... and 100x rev.. it just seems to me theres no reason to hold it right now even if that is all true. Is all of that happening in the next year? I dont know, just seems there will be a long window of opportunity to buy it when it starts at such a ridiculous point already.

I sold ALL of my SPCX shares this afternoon around 2:40 CDT when its price shot up from around $179/sh to a little over $189/sh in about 45 minutes. I'd been buying since the day of the IPO, accumulating 2,150 shares, and had averaged down to $184/share.

After I sold I had to chew on some Tums tablets.

Nice, I bought a few shares on ipo friday in the afternoon just over 160 and sold for just under 170 right before extended trading ended that night. Havent touched it since, ill wait. Wasnt much, but I got a taste enough to feel like I did something. I can say im green on the stock and nothing can change that at the moment

I know.

Way out of character for me regarding risk tolerance.

That's why I needed the Tums.

I think CNBC said anything over $139 made him a trillionaire.

That number will vary depending on TSLA stock price as well.

Not always a fan of Elon antics. He’s our generations Howard Hughes. A lot of respect for him pushing the envelope and innovating.

I will be buying some SpaceX after 6 months or so. Once I get the sense that it’s settled into a true trading range.

How can this stock keep plunging when elon is out there talking about a trillion times a trillion dollars of TAM. It just doesnt make sense!
