How can this stock keep plunging when elon is out there talking about a trillion times a trillion dollars of TAM. It just doesnt make sense!
To borrow an expression from the 1990s, I think SPCX experienced some "irrational exuberance" (Alan Greenspan) during its first few IPO days.

Hell, even I got caught up in it! And I'm notorious for "slow & steady, steady & slow" investing.

What's wrong with the current U.S. economy that makes it unaffordable to have children?

Have you seen how much doordash costs now

ETA: in all seriousness I make more than than double what I made 10 years ago but I feel way poorer

A pound of ground meat is like 8 bucks now when it used to be 2.50

I feel like beer is the only thing that hasn’t suffered from massive inflation but beer is a human right

Maybe only if you're buying ground Wagyu beef.

I bought 3 lbs. of 80/20 ground beef to grill hamburgers for Father's Day and the receipt for it shows I paid $4.49/lb.

No bruh I went to rouses to be fair it was probably more like 6.50 a pound

When do we get to eat the bugs and live in the pod I’m so ready. When beef was like 2.50 a pound people got mad when Obama told us to eat bugs but now with Trumpflation you can’t hardly afford to go to the grocery store unless you have food stamps.

My bill was like 35 bucks and all I had was a couple pounds of beef, some onions, and a 30 rack of pbr

SPCX just hit a post-IPO near low price of $155.15/sh.

EDIT: Now UNDER $154.50.

SpaceX is a turd sandwich

Two nice buns that is the rockets and starlink

Smashed together with an AI turd in the middle

rouses

Rouses is to inflation what inflation is to long term bonds.

I am financially independent and will not afford Rouses’ fruit, milk, coffee, or meat. I now eat air or drive to TX for HEB prices.

When it was briefly worth more than Amazon and Microsoft combined, that might have been the single silliest market data point of all time.

The valuation can only be justified if you think an entire new Space industry with a massive TAM is about to be formed and monopolized by SpaceX. You are buying a vision of the future - you are not owning durable, predictable cash flows. It's not an investment profile for everyone.

Yeah; sure.

But normally you aren’t forced to pay for the valuation 10 years before it’s justified.

The way this IPO was orchestrated will be studied and criticized. Borderline SPAC predatory territory.

4% of the float it tradable with near immediate steps up. But the worst part of it is that we are all forced to invest in it to a degree. They fast tracked SpaceX inclusion to the nasdaq to 15 days!

I will buy this under 1 trillion valuation, and even that will feel aggressive. Unless there’s a monumental change in revenue.
