Yeah, I think TDA is annualizing it's version of dividend per share and yield - it's misleading because of ZIM's limited dividend history. TDA numbers looked skewed to me, so I looked elsewhere. Other houses are basing yield on actual past dividends paid.
ETA: now suspicious of TDA's calculation of stats

Back to ZIM - this thing entered the market in January 2021 at $11.50/share and was trading over $90 in March 2022?

Dude what part of my question dont you understand? All i wanted to know is which stocks pay a high dividend. I didnt ask for the best yield, i didnt ask for anything else other than which stock pays the highest dollar dividend. I didnt say i was investing in any stock that was going to be mentioned in this thread. Im pretty sure if i did invest i can do my own research.

WHY do you want to know the highest dollar dividend stocks? Because that like being in medicine and wanting into know which is the largest sized cancer pill. The size of the pill is equivalent to a stock’s dividend dollar amount. If you would just pay attention to what people are trying to tell you, you wouldn’t give two shite about it.

I bought some WU (Western Union) today. It has a dividend above 5%, is near its 52 week low, and is currently down 12+% today.

Look at Alcoa (AA) I had a couple hundred shares with a cost basis of around $7 that I bought in 2020. Sold out around $60 thinking I did great (which I did, but look where it's at now

Because I was just curious as to the highest that’s all. I’m not looking at buying any of the stocks that have a high dividend. Just was curious, I knew Chevron paid a big dividend and I remember seeing another stock that had a big dividend so I said let me ask the Money Board what stocks pay a big dividend. Curious is all my man
