They paying $5.68 I think someone is paying like over $7 but can’t think of the stock.

If a stock paid a $20 annual dividend with a stock price of $20,000/share, is that a high dividend?
No, it's really low. It's a tenth of one percent.
Chevron isn't bad, but their are many that are much higher.

I don’t care what the stock price is I just want to know some high paying dividends.

If a $10 stock pays a dollar annually that's a lot high than Chevron's dividend.
You can't say stock price doesn't matter. It's half of the equation.

High reward high risk PBR-A
Recent distribution was 10% of my cost basis. Yahoo shows 27% but I think it’s more than that in reality as they voted to go to quarterly dividends

Do you see why stock price matters now? This is actually not a high dividend at all because it's .2% of the stock price.
So you're spending over $4,000 to get $9 per year.

Let me ask again.
What stock pays the highest dividend? I don’t care about the yield.

What’s higher than chevron besides that one?

The highest yields are going to be in REITs and other real estate financials, many are well over 10%, but I'm not sure those are a good idea in the current climate.

IEP pays 8$ and is only 50 something a share

Let me try and illustrate it a different way.
Investment home #1: Price- $2,000,000. Rental income- $80,000
Investment home #2: Price- $500,000 Rental income- $40,000.
All else equal, why the hell would you want “Home #1” when it yields half what “Home #2” yields? Only because the dollar amount is more? You risk 4x the capital to make 2x the income.
The same is true, in simple terms, for dividend yields on stocks. You should care about yield when investing for dividends.

I'm about to load up on Walmart, Chevron, and Microsoft starting in a couple weeks. All three have decent dividends and nice growth history/continued growth prospects, with Chevron having the highest dividend percentage of the three. I like the idea of having steady growth along with dividends if it means the dividends are going to be a tad lower than most other stocks that may be a bit riskier.

No, look at the dividend yield percentage, not dollars per share. CVX dividend yield is around 3-1/2%, not bad.
Some REITs pay higher, so do other stocks. Do some looking around on the internet.
ZIM is interesting, it paid three dividends (recently), and the most recent was substantial - don't know what to expect going forward though. Following ZIM with curiosity. Calculated dividend yield is around 34-1/2%.
Record dates:
8/25/2021 $2.00 per share
12/16/2021 $2.50 per share
3/23/2022 $17.00 per share

I’m thinking the money board is a little too complex for you.

According to TDA, ZIM's annual dividend is $68 or 118%
I'm guessing that was some strange special dividend stuff but if they want to pay more than a 100% dividend, I may have to check that out.
