Yet you call it 'mismanaged'?
Well, Musk himself has valued X at less than half of what he paid for it.
That's AFTER all the cost cutting measures.
So yes, it has been mismanaged.

Or… he overpaid after it was greatly overvalued. Maybe not his smartest move, but he seems to think it’s worth it.

It’s making less money than when he bought it. He is actively losing money. This is a win?
Musk bought it for what $44 b? all the while saying it’s full of bullshite bots and overstaffed.
He knowingly overpaid so that he could have it and then change it back to the free speech platform it started as. He wanted to fix it. He has said it will take five years. Hes one in.
He didn’t buy it to make a profit. He bought to tear it down. Then build it back up.

I agree with most of the comments here and let me add that you should consider supporting Musk with a twitter premium subscription.
I don't even use twitter that much but his dedication to truth and free speech needs financial support from all of us.

I finally upgraded to premium on X after Apple, IBM, Disney, Apple, etc stopped advertising the other day. Funded it by canceling Apple Music.

Disney+ has 112 million subscribers. Thousands of anything is irrelevant.

My disney+ is free.
Hulu too.
How many actual paying subscribers are there?

It’s making less money
I haven’t checked Twitter’s financials, so let’s say this is true. They have less overhead as well, and even with taking in less money, they could still profit more. Or do you not understand how this works?
But if your position is that Elon must do anything and everything, including bending the knee to left-wing, social engineers, then you’re not going to agree with anything he does. Because apparently he’s not down with that.
And yes, he is willing to destroy Twitter if that’s what it takes. He knows what he’s doing.

Musk's plan is to make X/Twitter an "everything" app. It may not work, but as I've said again and again, bet against Elon at your own peril. The cat is 15 steps ahead of most people.

In this same interview, Elon himself proclaims confidently that Twitter/X will die
He said if people are okay with corporations like Disney and Comcast determining what constitutes free speech, X/Twitter will die. Big difference.

You dont think he needs write offs?

And musk is worth only what he owns. He would have to sell it all off to take a run at buying Disney.
Well that’s not exactly true. If he wanted to add it to his portfolio, he could leverage it.

Over 100 million
I also missed their total subscribers- it’s 140+ million.

Igor told the board that woke bullshite is hurting Disney.
Then he does more work bullshite. I am starting to think the company can’t be saved.

Need to get Nelson Peltz on the board.

But what about Elon tells you he'd just roll over and allow that to happen?
I don’t even use twitter but I could see how it was a bonehead move to pull off effectively in secret.
