Yep. The guy was willing to patiently explain detailed topics with just about anyone.

He was also one of the better Political Talk posters, especially in terms of understanding the hard realities driving foreign relations. He was one of the good guys. I liked him a lot.

RIP, Poodlebrain

There are times when profanity is entirely appropriate.

And times when even that isn't enough.

Wow.
That will take some time to register.

Prayers for his family and friends.
Terrible loss here.

Poodlebrain was such a class act.
Very bright, very thoughtful, very well reasoned.
His contributions here, on the Poliboard, and Rant will be sorely missed.

He was one of a handful of members I would go out of my way to read. Whatever he posted in any thread inevitably involved an interesting perspective.

Damn!
RIP Poodlebrain.

All of this. He was the majority of the reason I started visiting this board more and more over the past few years.

RIP Poodle.

So very sad. He will certainly be missed. Huge loss. He seemed to always bring the proper insight to any accounting or tax thread. Certainly one of the few voices I trusted on here. Sad sad sad

Oh man, not again. Poodle took the time several years back and emailed with me regarding a new tax situation for myself. I never forgot that and have always appreciated the kindness he showed to me during that time. I hope God wraps his family in His arms during this time. RIP Poodle.

This is too much. Good grief. Very sad news.

RIP good sir.

As a CPA, and a somewhat younger one at that, I can tell you we have a lot of good CPAs who are up there in age, and perhaps age combined with the combined toll of decades of stress on the job, seem to be passing away at a rising clip. It's a significant issue on the horizon for the profession.

Anyone know how old he was?
