Yes, August 15th.

This is awful for your family. You are a close and loving family.

To all of Poodlebrain's admirers and 'friends' on the Money Talk Board, I just spoke with Poodle's sister and she asked that I let everyone know that his obituary will be in the Baton Rouge paper soon. She asked that I post a link to it on here, which I will do, when it appears in the paper.

She did tell me that the family would appreciate memorial donations made to the LSU Foundation. That will also be in the obituary.

Poodle had been having health issues but his passing was still sudden and unexpected. His cause of death has not been determined yet.

I'm taking the liberty of asking everyone here to keep Karen, Poodle's sister, in our thoughts and prayers also. The reason she is a little delayed putting Poodle's obituary in the paper and why she asked that I post the link to his obituary is because she is currently in M.D. Anderson in Houston receiving treatment for leukemia. Her free time is understandably limited and the M.D. Anderson internet system is protected which makes posting links and sending/receiving emails almost impossible.

Karen, we are pulling for you...

Yes, thanks for the update Russian.

Karen - if you read this (or if Russian would like to pass it along)... I'm very sorry for your loss. Poodle truly made an impact on this board with his consistent willingness to impart his wisdom on us. A number of us live in Houston and if there is anything we can do to help you during this battle, please don't hesitate to let me know. My email is my username @gmail if there is anything I can do to help. Good luck with your battle, and again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Thank you for the information LSURussian. The money board has lost a couple of heavyweights recently. So sad

Champagne,

So glad your suspension was lifted. I was certain that you would add a reply if you saw this post. We are all deeply saddened by Kenneth's premature death. I'm shocked you remember his birthdate. I've missed Coolidge's post since his death and will miss my brothers terribly.

I hope our paths will cross before long.

Kenny,

Words seem inadequate to express my appreciation for the kindness of your offer. I have been blessed since beginning treatment at MDACC. I will be forever thankful to LSU as my host family and primary caregiver is the first person I met my freshman year. I have been shown an unbelievably generous spirit from strangers throughout my time here and it has been overwhelming.

I only ask for your prayers.

No, I'm still banned from the Tiger Rant. I asked them to lift the ban so I could offer condolences, but they did not.

I'm glad that Money Talk has a thread on it. Karen, I'm broken-hearted over this. It was bad enough about Ken but when we were informed that you are fighting leukemia . . . well . . . you are not crying alone.

I've sent some messages to Ken's other LSU friends to give them this terrible news.

Ken and Napoleon share their birthday, August 15th. Who knows? Maybe they are having a conversation right now.

I will be looking for further news from you on Facebook. Ken has a FB page.

Ken posted mostly on this board and the Political Talk board, so, I would say that Ken is more well-known here on the Money Talk board than on the Tiger Rant board.

David is helping with Kenneth's personal effects. I'm not sure how he's handling FB but I'll let him know you've offered to reach out to his LSU friends.
All of the family is still in shock. We are truly humbled that Kenneth found so many TigerDroppings friends that, like those of us who knew him, held his opinion in high regard.

Tell David I said, "Hi" and I hope we can use Ken's FB page as a place to share our grief. Most important thing now, Karen, is for you to keep fighting leukemia. I hope I can send some good vibes towards that result.

Glad to hear you already had such a great support network here. Prayers have been sent and will continue. Good luck with your fight and don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do.

Was there no Mrs. Poodle or little Poodles?

Prayers to the sister for having to handle everything while dealing with her own challenges. Wow.
