The whole landscape business will be battery in the next few years, outside of the commercial lawn mowers. Everyone moving toward it except honda.
I have to say i do like my EGO blower, mostly b/c of noise when im walking not using it. Trying to do all i can to keep the Lithium market growing.

It’s actually innovation and moving forward towards a more efficient form of energy. It may not be lithium in the future and I do hope we are able to move beyond it eventually but we’ve pretty much reached capacity in regards to what fossil fuels can do for us. Not to mention the national security purposes of finding another form of energy to rely upon.

I moved almost all my lawn equipment to EVO this summer. Blower, weed eater, hedge trimmer. I played with the Milwaukee tool electric chain saw as well and it was awesome.

Maybe for trucks in the US the market share is going to struggle for a long time. But Used in cellphones, power tools, digital cameras, laptops, children's toys, e-cigarettes, small and large appliances, tablets and e-readers. You think these are in line to be massive failures?
China sold 5.9 million EV cars last year and that number was up 29% YTD in September.
It is good that you are so negative in this thread, though. If you are going to be negative, this is the thread to do it in! Bloodbath for too long. Up 7% so far today, though.

The weed whacker, blower and most chainsaws are definitely better as battery equipment. No fuel mixing, ethanol BS etc

I will eventually rid my garage of all two stroke engines and replace them with battery powered. But lets me honest, the combined mass of lithium in every battery in my house is a fraction of that in an EV, particularly one that would be used every day.

I was speaking specifically to EVs, the infrastructure for charging alone is a huge hurdle that is not being adequately evaluated. I am talking for mass scale EV utilization.

One of us will be very wrong. think in the next 20-30 years EV will have a very sizable global market share of the auto industry.
I agree with you that Infrastructure is grossly inadequate. I think it will see a lot of investment. I just bought some Chargepoint because it has been beaten to pulp.

I’m with you.
As a purely speculative play in a tax advantaged investment account, I sold some 2.5 puts on CHPT (crazy IV). If it hits, fine. If not, I’ll take the premium $ and do it again at the same or an adjusted strike. That’s a name that’s already a going concern, albeit with some challenges. But like I said, it’s a longer term speculative play that I’m OK with.

I would like to see us move to 5th generation nuclear power plants to charge those batteries.
NY is trying to go all electric in new buildings, but they don't seem to understand that 40% of the state's electricity comes from natural gas. There will be sticker shock when people see that it costs 4 or 5 times as much to heat with electric and CH4.

I bought back in to SLI this morning. My ALB shares have taken off after a few down weeks. Hoping SLI can do the same.
