I like it 30.00 and I would retire!
Nothing new just an article from today
Why is this still dropping

No but i hope you are riight
Also factor in royalty decision being delayed didn't help. If you look at last 6 months appears to me everything is finally coming togethor.
And lithium prices had alot to do with it! Still does, but US production is going to happen and prices will rise.Again my 2 cents and hopes.
Almost there! Yes, agree as Smack said covid hurt things, and things got delayed. I was hoping to be retired by now. It seems they are slow but have done everything with reason and purpose, even though it hasn't been on our time line. I believe more now than ever. Just my 2 cents. Counting on 2028 and retiring!

I think it just gives SLI the right to pull the brine off that section even though maybe everyone did not sign the lease agreement, but I could be wrong

I look for something to come from the Arkansas Lithium Summit! They aren't just talking DLE they are talking converting the lithium and building out products in Arkansas.

Focus On Arkansas - A Lithium Hub

Now that we have looked at some of the various political intent and support, let us drill down to just Arkansas. This is where we see a lot of upcoming activity out of Nano One, Standard Lithium, and various partners of both. The main idea to ponder here is, there are a lot of power players meeting up at the same place for an objective and that is Arkansas becoming a hub of lithium production for end users such as car producers like potentially Ford (F) who will be present at the meeting.

Arkansas Lithium Innovation Summit In October

We see that the Arkansas Lithium Innovation summit will occur on October 28-29 at the Arkansas capital. This is a powerhouse meeting of names and companies to include Standard Lithium and Nano One. Speakers include the Governor of Arkansas, Sarah Huckabee Sanders (aka former White House Press Secretary for President Trump).

Looking at the companies, we can note that the CEO's of both Standard Lithium and Nano One will appear on stage together. Quite the coincidence.

Nano One, NNOMF, SLI, Standard Lithium, David Park, Dan Blondal

Additionally, we can see none other than Andy Robinson of Standard Lithium and Standards project partner Equinor (EQNR) present via:

And we can witness additional Standard Lithium (3x personnel), Equinor (2x), Koch (technology partner to Standard at 1x) and the Chairman of the board for Nano One will be on site.

Nano One Partner Worley Could Be Smoking

Why does all of this matter? It shows you Standard and Nano One are both bringing the big guns to this political/banker industry conference, but it gets better. Nano One partner Worley (OTCPK:WYGPY) will be present. Worley brings the turn-key engineering know how to help Nano One bring its technology to the market faster (via a licensing model). As a speculative sidebar, Worley is looking at India and batteries.

Getting back on point, ask yourself why would Worley show up in Arkansas with all these other power players? I think where smoke exists, a fire is burning and I'm seeing a lot of smoke.

Equinor

Other notable companies are Exxon, Chevron, Aquaworks, Tetra Technologies, Telescope Innovations (OTCQB:TELIF), Ford and various bankers such as BMO [Who helped fund Lithium Americas (LAC)] and Morgan Stanley (MS).

Lastly powerhouse Google (GOOG) via Lucia Tian, Head of Advanced Energy Technologies will be present. We might assume Google is present via its various data center pushes. Could they get involved and help fund projects? It is a speculative possibility, after all they are not flying out to Arkansas for coffee.

The Pieces Might Fit For Nano One

Call it connecting-the-dots, call it smoke before fire, or call it what you like, but a lot of powerful companies are meeting up to help drive mineral independence from China. While we do not know what the G7 nations might come up with be it direct funding, price floors, or something unknown we can place some bets on Standard Lithium and Nano One. Even if our choice companies are not picked, any Federal movement might raise all critical mineral and rare earth element ships.

Nano One Risk, Government Awards, And Conclusion

The critical mineral and rare earth element sectors are volatile. Stocks pop and implode frequently based on geopolitical news. Once revenue streams are established, mining stocks tend to be a little less volatile. With all the recent news concerning this sector, investors need to be careful concerning entry price points. The Arkansas Innovation summit could yield interesting news or none at all, and the G7 meeting might be something interesting to investors or a nothingburger. It is hard to say, but I do not see either side giving up on trying to establish mineral or semiconductor independence from the other. Looking at specific Nano One risk first we need to realize that three governments: Canada, Quebec, and the United States are backing Nano One as illustrated below.

The key relationships on the private industry side are Rio Tinto, which owns 4.9% of the company (supplies lithium), Sumitomo Metal at 4.9% ownership (refining lithium via LFP factories), and Worley (Engineering & licensing).

Nano One Government Grants and awards
Nano One Funding (Nano One)
We can also see various Canadian government financial support ($30.8 million Canadian) along with the US DoD pushing a grant for $12.9 million. Looking over the financials, we can see from the June 30th financials that Nano One has $23 million Canadian on hand in the form of cash with $3.3 in receivables. Deposits are $1 million with a loan receivable of $2 million. Total current liabilities are $4.1 million. The company also a long-term lease to be paid back over the course of 15 years. This should cost them around $1.2 million Canadian per year.

Concerning government grants, we can look at this release from last March and then we can update this by looking at June SEDAR documents which stated they had drawn down $16.4 million CDN and have $24 million CDN left to bill against or be awarded. I would guess with the capital on hand and potential government awards they have roughly 18 to 24 months of cash given my guessed burn rate. I would have to dig deep into the financials and back out many things to get an extremely accurate feel, but this is close enough for today.

Wrapping Nano One Up

Cash on hand, government grants, combined with a very intense desire of the US government to reduce its Achilles' heel of rare earth element and critical mineral dependence upon China leads me to think success is just a matter of time for Nano One. The upcoming Arkansas Lithium Innovation conference and the G7 nations meeting only give weight to this thesis. With this, I am continuing to add to my positions in Nano One and Standard Lithium.

The Arkansas Lithium Innovation summit is taking place on October 28-29th, where the CEO's of Nano One and Standard Lithium will present on the same stage.
The G7 nations are meeting on October 30-31st discuss Critical Minerals and Rare Earth Elements in response to Chinese mineral actions.
The Secretary of the Treasury has said the Trump administration will be putting in pricing controls to support domestic Critical Mineral and REE support.
A Détente between China on rare earth elements and critical minerals could be short-lived. President Trump wants mineral independence.

A trick or treat is potentially coming on October 30-31st for rare earth element and critical mineral investors.

Also noted is the Arkansas Lithium Innovation conference on October 28th and 29th, where Nano One (OTCPK:NNOMF) and Standard Lithium (SLI) will be sharing the stage together.

In this article we are going to cover a lot of ground concerning rare earth elements (REE) and critical minerals (CM). These are topics I have been preaching on since 2017. After what is approaching a decade of me warning people to the dangers of letting foreign nations utterly dominate various REE and CM minerals, I find it most refreshing to see the western world waking up and actually taking action. National security could profit... and so can you. Note the China REE magnet and refining domination below.

Halloween Is Trick Or Treat For Rare Earth Elements

In response to China playing October tricks via export controls on rare earth elements, a G7 meeting is going to occur on October 30-31, where funding for unknown rare earth elements and critical mineral companies might occur. According to Politico, Canadian Energy and Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson:

We had a meeting with the G7 envoys on critical minerals while I was here, all working towards further development of a coordinated, multilateral approach to dealing with the recent restrictions,” Hodgson said. “We’re working on those as we speak, and we’ll hopefully have some announcements by the time we get to the minister’s meeting in Toronto at the end of the month.
Additionally, Politico and Minister Hodgson went on to say a number of contracts are in the works to possibly be announced next week.

Beijing’s new restrictions are an “amping up” of curbs on critical minerals China has announced this year, Hodgson said. G7 allies, he added, are working on “a number of actual contracts” with private sector firms that they hope to announce at the Toronto meeting.
And digressing, who did Minister Hodgson have a meeting with on October 8th? Why none other than the CEO of Nano One, Dan Blondal as noted below:

Critical Minerals And Rare Earth Elements Détente

Before we go further, do note that the US needs to buy time to fund and help ramp up rare earth element and critical mineral mining and refining. Thus, we will see both sides make threats and maybe back off at times. China could threaten to reduce or ban REE and CM. The US could reduce or deny semi-conductors to China.

Both sides will most likely continue to try to obtain mineral or semi-conductor manufacturing independence from the other. During times of increased threats mining stocks will rise. When we see a Détente, those stocks will fall. This presents opportunity. Moving on to politics.

Those at the top of the food chain know and understand just how important critical minerals like lithium are for AI, the defense sector, and energy security. I wonder what US politicians have to say on the matter.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a few words to say and with this we might see the future direction of potential Federal funding. After this we will look at state level politicians and then a meeting of very interesting political and business leaders in Arkansas. Along the way, try to connect the dots concerning Nano One and Standard Lithium in a general sense of working together in Arkansas.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio Gets Critical Minerals

When I ponder what the future looks like (EV's, fixed energy storage, robotics, and warfare) I come back to lithium use. However, it is not just lithium that is needed, it just happens to be the one I've been writing on since 2017. Many critical minerals will be needed.

North America needs to have a domestic supply of critical minerals and rare earth elements (and the ability to refine them). Just how critical are these elements to the defense industry? Per Secretary of State Marco Rubio:

If we stay on the road, we’re on right now, [in] less than 10 years, virtually everything that matters to us will depend on whether China allows us to have it or not,” Rubio said. “Everything from the blood pressure medicine we take, to what movies we get to watch and everything in between, we will depend on China for it. They have come to dominate the critical mineral industry [and] supplies throughout the world. Throughout the world, they’ve now established critical mineral rights, even those who want to see more electric cars, no matter where you make them, those batteries are almost entirely dependent on the ability and the willingness of the Chinese Communist Party to produce and export it to you.

So, if we don’t change course, we’re going to live in a world where everything that matters to us on a daily basis, from our security to our health, will be dependent on whether the Chinese allow us to have it or not. That is an unacceptable outcome.
These are strong words. Take a moment and read that again but slowly. Ponder it and note the below illustration. Granted this is REE specific but each of these items will need critical elements too for batteries among other things. This main idea is if you deny or reduce REE or CM the defense industry will be harmed.

REE Use (Visual Capitalist)
Mr. Rubio's words are not idle murmurings to be ignored. No, this is a statement of intent, and I fully expect team Trump to execute a plan of action.

We can profit from this, but let us dig a bit deeper as Secretary Rubio is not alone in his viewpoint.

Secretary Of The Department Of Energy Chris Wright On Critical Minerals

The Secretary of the Department of Energy recognizes the importance of critical mineral independence (via mining and processing).

Arkansas And Texas Push Critical Minerals

Senator Cotton of Arkansas (a former Army Officer who sits on some interesting Senate boards) is pushing for an increase in critical mineral support along with two more Senators. They wrote to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth:

A resilient domestic lithium supply will shield our military from supply chain disruptions, geopolitical manipulation, and other external threats. This is not a corporate subsidy; it is a national security investment to detangle our supply chains from Communist China.”
