Hmmm, extraction costs of around $2500/ton. Who was it that said that?

That’s conservative numbers btw.

Pre-tax NPV of ~$2.8B on ~30,000 acres for Tetra, so roughly $90K/acre value. Apply that to their 30% share (may end up being higher) on the 150,000 acres Lanxess leases and you get roughly a total (Tetra & Lanxess) pre-tax NPV of ~$7B (compared to current market cap of a bit more than $1B). I'm sure the Lanxess projects will be different than Tetra with regards to capex outlays, lithium concentrations, etc, but this PEA should give us a good ballpark idea of what the total company could be worth now. May have to adjust my first sales from $20 up to $40 now....

With respect to reconciliation of resources, the updated 2021 SWA Lithium Project resource is 49% larger than the 2019 resource estimate. This difference is directly related to unitization of the resource area. More specifically, the total aquifer volume has increased from 7.66 km3 in 2019 to 8.86 km3 (1.84 mi3 to 2.13 mi3) in this report.

Found this gem buried in the report.

You know what the difference between a pea and a garbanzo bean is?

The stock doesn’t go up when mintak drops a garbanzo on us

So we hit $9 in premarket. That’s meant bad news bears every time in the past so far. Sub $6 incoming this week or is this finally ignited and $12 imminent now?

This will be interesting stock action today. Pre market volume is not really that high (50K shares) so I suspect the news hasn't begun baking in yet. Frankfurt volume is elevated

Get the feeling it’s gonna hit double digits pretty quick today then retrace for a 15% gainer.

Man that cost is great - the raw material savings they found in the acid recycle stream must be incredible.

Gonna have to read through this a couple times.

Short summary from SA. Just highlighting some positive points from the PEA.

LINK

quote:

Standard Lithium (NYSE:SLI) +10% pre-market after reporting "positive results" of a preliminary economic assessment for its South-West Arkansas Lithium Project. Key points from the assessment include pre-tax $2.83B NPV at 8% discount rate and IRR of 40.5%; after-tax $1.97B NPV at 8% discount rate and IRR of 32.1%; an increased total in-situ resource of 1.19M metric tons of lithium carbonate equivalent at the inferred category; and $870M total capex estimate. The company says the PEA considers the production of battery-quality lithium hydroxide averaging 30K metric tons/year over a 20-year operating timeframe. Early last month, Standard Lithium shares rose after reporting it completed the installation of the SiFT lithium carbonate plant at its El Dorado project in Arkansas.

These are conservative numbers too. Not just on prices, but on costs and production. Most everyone is projecting higher lithium values than used for this. We know they have to err on the side of caution. This alone could send it to $15. We still have last years earnings report and this past quarters due. JV soon. I think we're looking at a 10 bagger based on yesterday's prices. The unknown of the other projects and pie in the sky lithium projections could have this trading at multiples of earnings (projected) not common amongst chemical and mining stocks (which it is not-it's TECH).

Tech means to the moon and beyond. Tech means crazy P/E's. This catches on with the green tech crowd then look out. Once again, even the conservative numbers they projected in the PEA exceed the numbers SLI originally said. Cost projected higher. I've said all along they would be around $2500/ton and maybe lower. I still think they can get lower, but not sure how much. Lithium royalties haven't been set by oil and brine commission.

The last time we got to $9 the low was only $6.80. That’s about a $1.60 improvement, Higher lows likely means we break through $9.00. I think we are about to break out of the range with today’s PR.
