Ouch. Failed to tell investors that they hadn't applied for permits. Good luck near Charlotte.

Doesn't sound like many of the locals are on board with this project... Gaston council meeting last night was packed

Looks like some major nimby problems for a big strip mine.

As my friend noted, from touring a copper strip mine in South America, the massive trucks took 40 minutes to drive down into the pit and pick up a load and 40 minutes back up using 600 gallons of diesel fuel in the process.

But they wont be using fuel, they will be using electric rail!

I'm sure the grid can handle it.

Sli really does advance lithium 10 fold

Piedmont's plan is to use a conveyor instead of trucks for this mine. From the council meeting link I posted, "The company claims it is investing $63 million to replace mine trucks with an electric conveyor system."

I doubt the locals that oppose the project care much about that anyway, but it is a selling point to the green energy folks.

Is it fair to say this DLE technology is a bigger advancement to the lithium industry as fracking was to the oil industry?

Nah. I'm in til the end. Just live off dividends and reinvest the rest in Tesla, SLI, SpaceX, Starlink, and buy Yuengling and Red Lobster. And Walmart. Hostile takeover. Just so I can do what they should've done and cut Amazon's and Jeff Bezo's balls off. And Ranger boats.

In the areas like the proposed NC pit mine, is there a way that SLI's technology can be applied there?

Not sure they have the brine with the lithium entrained

Strip mining is hard rock that is ran through a process to extract the lithium

Atleast that is my understanding.

It will be an archaic technology once DLE becomes mainstream. It wont be economically feasible unless lithium demand blows up and price per ton does with it

Are you confident that SLI will offer dividends at some point in the future?

That would rock.

Anyone with more detailed trading info know what that block at 11:41 is about? Yahoo is showing 904,000 shares traded at that moment. Single buy? If so I feel like it would've spiked the price, but it didn't.
