The regular stock market I understand because tech companies and manufacturers are affected by tariffs and China cutting off rare earth exports.

But WTF does crypto have to do with tariffs on China? Hell if anything it would seem you’d want to move money out of regular stocks and into crypto due to tariffs causing crypto to go up.

Manufactured crisis by the hedge funds money managers in order to try to hurt Trump is all this is. Could also be Chinese investors dumping crypto to try to trigger a panic sell

Lol yeah generally in periods of uncertainty the riskiest stuff is the safest place to park money

The narrative that crypto is some safe-haven against inflation was proven false so long ago I am surprised people still parrot that nonsense.

Crypto is an unregulated casino completely run by a few large players. When you cut off cheap cash, due to people tightening in uncertainty or tightening lending practices. Then these sort of securities basically are the first to plunge

Degenerate crypto gamblers also used leverage to gamble even more... shocking!!!

I was gonna say who the frick borrows money to invest in crypto or even any kind of stock? You have to pay minimum 7-8% interest on credit right now, you’d have to really hit it right to make money off that. Doubling your risk and needing a 10% return to profit

Because crypto isnt real. These goons tried to make it out as an anti-centralized currency, but it is tied to the US dollar.

Sarcasm alert-
Do people realize that BTC is limited in quantity. It literally cannot be printed out of thin air like the dollar. It’s like- impervious to panic selling because there are so many buyers than sellers because like, it’s only 21 million coins made.

By then there’s the whole viability as a currency thing…..

There are no guarantees that bitcoin will be limited to 21 million in the future. All it takes is a consensus and one change in a line of code to increase the count. Then the new fork will take over... just like it has 3 times in the past.

quote:

Three hard forks were created by "protocol change" definition:
July 2010 Chain Fork (addition of OP_NOP functions)
March 2013 Chain Fork (migration from BerkeleyDB to LevelDB caused a chain split)
CVE-2018-17144 (Bitcoin 0.15 allowed double spending certain inputs in the same block)
