Correct. It’s a fomo trade and nothing more.
Can you articulate the price movement rationale?
What has changed from when it hit its high?

It goes up when more people buy
It goes down when more people sell

So BTC is money again... It sure is hard to keep up.
I have friends currently working on a multi-billion dollar BTC project right now that is being unleashed publicly in the next 100 days that will create the new currency reserve utilizing bitcoin. Right now the smart money knows what is going on which is why the price of bitcoin is going to go down a bit further to allow institutions to buy it up at lower prices before this skyrockets. I would highly recommend buying it on this dip TBH.

Seems that way.
Would love to know what is rationale for people to either buy or sell.
For me, admittedly, it’s a total crap shoot. I got in and out at various levels. Current holding is at $85,000 level and coin base at $335. I have no way of knowing if any of it is over / under or fairly valued.

“The” new currency reserve? Can you elaborate on that?
Assuming you’re talking about the United States,
Ie- what will bitcoin replace that is the current currency reserve?

You would have to be pretty dense not to know that fiat currency systems all over the world are on their last legs. Keep your head in the sand if you would like to, won't change a thing if you do or don't

So BTC will be the world reserve currency.
This is why it will never go to zero, plenty of true believers out there. Only issue is once the tether printing stops the lights will go out.
Retail has little interest in being bagholders again

It’s a volatile asset, but I think you would be a fool not to have one percent of your portfolio in it.
I had a little bit over 1%, but it's now currently about right at that.

The USD is being devalued by money printing, but that is something different than a ponzi scheme.
Different in a sense, but a ponzi scheme is fraud where earlier investors are paid with money taken from newer investors and the prospects for realizing a return on investment drop with each wave. Fedgov debt has some distinct similarities to that.

I never said it will go to zero. It will die a slow death and go into obscurity like all of these things
How many years do you give it before this happens

So what was the impetus for the price run up and what’s changed?
Price increase: institutional adoption through ETFs, bitcoin treasuries, and sovereign wealth funds
Price chop/decrease: people that got in on bitcoin early and held for a decade or more offloading significant amounts of coins for billion dollars.

quote:This is hilarious. Are you under the impression that the US treasury market is liquid?
There is nowhere near 3T dollars worth of liquidity for people to cash out. I would venture less than 5% of that.
There are no circuit breakers or fed intervention with bitcoin. You get the real price every day.

Market shows just how big of a pussy your average investor is. And thing is that they always lose out with the panic trading. They always turn out worse than if they just didn’t sell. Teaches them a lesson that being a pussy has negative consequences.

So you buy SOME BITX.
How long does you hold BITX before you sell?
