Could this be hardball from Peter?

Feels like Peter saying pony up more in the buyout or we will take it to market ourselves. Or is it just me?

It’s possible, but not as likely as some of the more mundane alternatives.

StockTwits is worth a read this morning. Sanity has mostly returned.

So basically --

1. We didn't actually do an offering, just set up the paperwork to do one if necessary

2. We had the same thing in place this year and it expired unused in May?

If I'm understanding this correctly, this sounds like normal business operations

That’s what it seems like, but when you’ve got such new interest in the stock, every move is under a microscope. You’ve got people invested as of late that felt it wasn’t worth the risk or wait.

And others saw the word “offering” and bailed.

Could this be a golden opportunity for big money to get the price they wanted? I’m not conspiratorial enough to say that it was planned that way, but they will benefit.

I’m holding. It’s those of us who have been here a while who don’t have to sweat this at all.

So apparently it was unused and it has everything to do with the previous one being filed in Canada. Since they are no longer listed in Toronto, they needed to renew.

They added a section about Mergers and Acquisitions into this filing, so in reality, this whole thing can be seen as a bullish indicator. We good.

Fool:

quote:

Is Aurinia's stock a screaming buy after this after-hours drop? The answer is most definitely yes. While Lupkynis' sales might be slow to ramp up with Aurinia at the helm, the drug is starting to turn heads among prescribers, according to a recent survey. As such, Aurinia's top line should eventually grow by leaps and bounds. Savvy investors, therefore, shouldn't hesitate to take advantage of this unwarranted pullback in this undervalued biotech stock.

If we don’t get back to $30 we’ve got full A2 data to release. I’m confident that a deal will get done before 2022.

supposedly from Dana the communication director:

quote:

“Thank you. I have shared your thoughts with management.
When we shifted from a dual listed NASDAQ / TSX to NASDAQ only, we also moved from a foreign issuer to straight GAAP. Our previous shelf was on the TSX and we have been operating a business without a shelf for most of the year. Our leadership/board believe is it important to always have one in place. The add on ATM was purely an opportunistic trading vehicle. We do not need additional funding at this time. Let me know if you have additional questions. Hope this helps.
Regards, Dana”

Adam piling on now

If that message from Dana turns out to be fake, I'm not sure where the floor for this stock will be

Why would someone think it is fake? Where is management? Is this just some liquidation cascade?
