1997 LSU/Florida will always be my favorite game. Loudest sustained noise I've ever heard. My favorite moment actually happened after the game when the LSU students tried to throw the toppled goalposts over the stadium but were stopped by security.
This really did happen. Would have been a bad day if they had made it up the steps to the top. My memory is foggy as to how far they made it, but maybe 1/3 up??

I love all the special teams trick plays we've pulled on them.

Bounce pass to Josh Jasper and Urban Meyer losing the challenge was pretty awesome!

Speaking of, I hope they have been working on some.

We are getting to the part of the season where they may be needed.

2007 - Hester. 4th Down gambles. Tebow taunting the student section and crying after the game.

I doubt anyone will mention this because we lost and the actual game was complete garbage, but the build up to the 2009 game was pretty insane.

It had all the makings of a classic: Tebow returning to Baton Rouge for the first time since the 2007 thriller; two undefeated teams squaring off in a night game in Death Valley; #1 vs. #4; Florida stomping on the Eye of the Tiger at midfield during pregame. Too bad that the game was SO boring and was a complete snoozefest. It nowhere near lived up to the hype and frenzy that had built up before kickoff.

I think one section of it made it to near the top. I just stayed in my seat soaking everything in after the end of the game. The majority of the Florida fanbase just remained in the south endzone in stunned silence. At one point, the fans who charged the field took one the long sections of the goal post across the field to the Florida section and began stabbing at the fans with it. It was all so surreal. No one really had a good idea of what to do with the goal posts after they got them out of the ground and it was like they were just coming up with stuff on the fly.

Everyone's selected the obvious choices. I'll go with an overlooked classic.. 2004 final drive win. Joseph Addai beasted when he was needed most.

1997 PREGAME- some gator fans brought a "Work Em Silly, Gators" sign into TS on a big white sheet.

They thought they were hot shite. Brought the sign to the edge of the student section to taunt the students.

Some brave baw runs by grabs the sheet and high-tails it to the safety of the SS, where the sign is promptly ripped to shreds.

Gator fans try to complain to the sheriffs on duty but they just give then a shoulder shrug.

Knew it was gonna be a special night after that

For the sake of variety, I offer up the Jordan Jefferson jump pass.

Did that really happen? I keep seeing references to it every year around this time.

I was there carrying a North end zone goal post all over the field with girls on top of it. I stopped at going into the stands. Sat back and just looked up at the band playing in the stands WAY after the game ended. They let the fans party for hours. It was an amazing night that I’ll never forget. I’ve been to almost all of the big games in the last 40 years and this night stands out head and tails above all of them.

I think the 2002 game is underrated in this series.

I went into that game thinking Earnest Graham and Co would run us out of Gainesville, but instead it was LSU that dominated UF on their own field.

Saban left Matty Mauck in for too long, but it was still an awesome victory.

Your pic is from 2015.

2010 game in Gainesville was awesome, though.

Urban Meyer waving first down gators and he was wrong.

I recall that too. The "poking" at the remaining Gator fans in SEZ.

I have another memory, a contributing reason to why that whole day was so insane, from sunrise to 3am. Steve Spurrier was a confident, cocky, snarky SOB... a trait of his I hated in the 90s, but came to love in the last 15 years...

on the morning of the 1997 UF game, in an interview on ESPN (a taped remark from him getting of the bus for Friday walk-through at Tiger Stadium), and keep in mind that Michigan was #2 or #3 at the time and GameDay was setting up at the PMAC, likely within sight of the Gators exiting the bus...

Steve Spurrier: "Why are you guys here? Isn't Michigan playing somewhere?"

Growling and screaming at the TV, I grabbed my ticket and headed to campus (from Covington - which is another good story why I was there and not Baton Rouge)!

1. Hester's '07 TD then Tebow crying afterwards.
2. 1997 victory
3. Miles' comment in his press conference after the fake field goal: "I saw the ball strike the ground, and I said to myself,'Surely, the ball must bounce up again.'"
4. Urban's comment after he heard Miles': (Angry sputtering) "You go out on a football field, and throw a football over your shoulder a hundred times, and tell me how many times it bounces straight up!"
5. Tommy Banks TD on SI cover.
6. Wing's TD
