There’s a great episode of “Saturday’s in the South” including Huey abt the 1920’s-30’s LSU and the rest of the SEC.

For those that don’t know. This is a multi-part doc about the history of the SEC from the CFB 150 celebration this year.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm sure it's something about hating Nick Saban, ignoring that he was 26 years old, a college graduate, and had already won a national title. He had basically nothing to gain by coming back for his final year of eligibility.

The 2007 College Football season as a whole, Michigan getting upset; USF, Boston College, Kansas, and Missouri all being #2 at one point in time; LSU losing twice in 3OT as the #1 team; USC losing as a 41 point favorite; Bama losing to ULM before Saban got Bama rolling, the craziness of Conference Championship Saturday.

LSU Basketball v LMU....from both rosters to beating them at their own game for regulation into OT....plus beating that UNLV bunch twice ....but yeah....LSU v LMU...the intricacies of being able to out talent them left the viewers breathless

The failed basketball team of 89-90. It’s a story that still has a lot of mystery so we wouldn’t just be going over things we’ve already picked to the bone. It has great characters who went on to do great things. Shaqs career, CJ is still playing, Stanley’s redemption story, Tracey and Shaqs partnership, Vernels interesting career choice, Mo’s comeback and turnaround, Hammink going from a waste to a 1st rounder and All-SEC player, Wayne Sims of course. It’s s the best story to tell for an hour or 2 on TV.

and how if LSU wins the 2011 national championship then the Saban dynasty probably doesn't happen.

How?

They still push everyone's shite in (besides A&M) the following year.

This is my vote too. What a crazy season.

I think it would be interesting just to do one on when Skip got here and what baseball was (and still is honestly at 95% of schools in the country) and how he built it in those early years.

It really is crazy how if you change two plays, the OSU missed field goal and the Yeldon dump off, then LSU wins 3 in a row against Alabama along with back to back national championships.

Huge leap there.

But hot take incoming: we don't beat UGA in the 2012 SECCG. That 2012 LSU team was extremely flawed.

I honestly feel like this wouldn't live up to our expectations when we finally have it confirmed that there was no controversy/unrest behind closed doors and we just got the shite kicked out of us by a better team.

T-Bob (who I do not think even played...) did an open "as me anything" and said nothing was wrong. There was no fight, no turmoil, they just got beat.

Of course, the rumor of the disagreement in the lockerroom pregame made no sense
