I bet Kelly regrets mentioning that torso injury.

I think you still play him a few series after a very light practice week. He needs to stay in game mode ahead of Ole Miss.

Give the backups some starter reps in practice and let them take over after a bit in the game.

It’s southeastern. If he’s really battling a torso Injury and I’m sure he is, then sit him. Let him get ready for Oxford.

You air it out for a quarter and a half, then bring in the backups.

If he keeps backpedaling and doesn’t recognize what a pocket it, that may hurt him worse. He has some decision improvements to make. That pic vs UF was unexplainably bad. I hope he’s hurt and one week off fixes it (needs to be this week) but he’s got some other things to work on also.

He only plays the first half.

MVB needs reps regardless.

God help us if the offense appears to move better with MVB as opposed to Nuss.

Ice cold horrible take.

You rest him fully during the bye week. He should play a half this week without question.

Crazy to sit a potential 1st round QB a week

he hasn't looked like a first round pick so far this season.

The answer is so obvious that I’ll believe his injury is serious if he sits.

SELA is exponentially worse than anything he will ever see at practice, save the he needs reps BS.

I believe this was mostly BK taking heat off his star player.

I do believe there is some sort of injury. I don't think it is terribly significant. Otherwise you would have known about it WELL before the Monday after BK was called out for his offense's poor performance over the course of three weeks. There is no doubt there is probably some physical limitations. But to act like the offense is struggling largely because of that is BS. Nuss's torso doesn't effect the running game, and he can still throw it over the middle well...when Sloan realizes sometime around the 2nd or 3rd quarter that is where LSU's passing game thrives...before he seeming forget that success ahead of the next game when the cycle repeats itself.

Like you said, if BK thinks the injury is significantly hampering the offense and rest is necessary to heal the injury, then you sit him this week. If Nuss doesn't sit then we know the injury revelation was exaggerated excuse to cover for the poor coaching/approach we've seen on the offensive side.

What has led anyone to believe this offense can run it up on anyone right now with a banged up Nuss? I can see it now, Tigers up 17-0 at half just sputtering along.

I think you get him on a pitch count. Just to keep him in rhythm. 20 attempts max. Either pull him at half time or pull him once he gets to 20 attempts, whichever comes first.

Agreed MVB needs to get some reps. If anything happens to Nuss, God forbid, MVB needs game time reps.

If he was that hurt then I think the would sit him. But I am not sure that to be the case and he needs to get all the game reps he can.

I agree here. Starting to get nervous about points vs. Lane.

Easy for fans to say. But he’s not training all year to sit out a game he’s healthy enough to play in. He only has a few left at LSU

Very short sighted. If he aggravates this injury and his status is threatened for a very important Ole Miss game you’re gonna to be the first one trashing BK.

Yes, play the backup QB. If LSU can’t beat Southeastern without their starting QB they don’t deserve to win.
