What you’re saying is he is back to where he was as a freshman

With 500 more yards rushing.

Also you are ignoring the part where they had to unlearn his bad habits he clearly developed under other coaches.

So you are arguing that he was better or worse than he was as a junior 3rd year starter at Arizona state?

then arguing the talent around him was what?

Different.

Our running backs are average to poor. The offensive line was a mess to start the season to the point of game 2 on starting two true freshman at offensive tackle and the receivers were overrated given the drops and some of the incompletions. They certainly weren’t making any memorable circus catches particularly early this year.

Maybe he should throw the ball within the area code or a CATCHABLE ball?

He holds onto the ball far too long and tries to wait for receivers to get open which leads to the DB getting leverage or his arse SACKED. Rushing? Seriously? He was afraid to throw the damn ball.

The YPA is ALL you need to look at. That wasn’t on Denbrock either.

Hell, even Kelly said he had an issue in throwing the ball into coverage or open his receivers. NOTHING CHANGED over the course of the season. NOTHING.

You are ignoring your original argument and digressing into stuff that has been hashed out regarding a specific player.

Is he better in 2022 than he was in 2021?

You said Kelly can’t develop qbs and that’s why Waller should leave.

Did he improve Jayden or not?

This list of great college QBs developed by LSU is very short.

Hodson is the only one. I’ve been watching since the 1960’s.
Davy was a good college QB.
Flynn was serviceable.

Russell never developed
Jones wasn’t really developed
Burrow sure as hell wasn’t.

One could easily argue he was best in 2019.

That's foolish. You don't have any idea what goes on at practice. You have your mind made up that BK is the bad guy and he is out to get LSU by spoiling your season with his trusty evil QB Jayden Daniels. I would take this as a personnel attack on you, it may be time to find a safe room. The delusion of our fan base never surprises me. If you can justify it in your head it must be true.

Without a doubt, but “QB development” is vastly overstated. That’s not to say BK can or can’t “develop” a QB, it’s only to say “development” is more fodder than fact.

Just because he doesn’t put out some cheesy social media post thanking LSU nation doesn’t mean he’s coming back.

Even with a transfer I expect Howard to take a second year to develop. Transfer now didn’t make sense to me. But he has to do what appears best for him, as it looks to him. Good luck to him.

Might make sense if he is getting more practice reps as a backup somewhere else.

False. He made the decision then drove to Lafayette to tell his dad in person. That’s a fact! His dad has not been pushing g him one way or another… excluding wanting him to redshirt.

Do they get to ride the carousel with Kelly? Looked like fun.

CBK is the only other Coach that WH considered besides LSU, he visited and listened to what he had to say. He was still coming to LSU because it was LSU. Then in a strange scenario CBK ends up at LSU and Howard gets everything and a bag of chips.

CBK got here and the first thing he did was Solidify Will C & Walker H for signatures. Fast forward and CBKs job is to WIN football games at LSU and you can bet your last dollar that’s his only mission, goal, and above all is his JOB. Daniels worked his way to QB#1, it was not given to him and he excelled and we won 10 games and the SEC W exceeded expectations I don’t care what anyone says they thought or expected. Can JD5 improve HELL yes, did Nuss give everyone confidence that if JD can’t he can handle the job HELL yes.

Now Walker is at every meeting, every practice, talks football with both QBs, and he knows more than what we see on Game Day. He knows RIGHT now that both JD & Nuss are way ahead of him at THIS moment despite potential, players don’t win on potential.

Walker Howard knows that it’s JD5 is QB1 and Nuss is pushing him to the brink in a fair fight regardless of what us idiots think and he’s clearly QB3. Call it fear, planning future, or whatever you want, but he knows where he stands at LSU. He’s 19 years old , is a little scared, feels he won’t be given a fair shot probably, but CBK cant cater to potential he has to win now. JD & Nuss give us the best chance to do that NOW Today and Tomorrow not 3 years down the road. Don’t blame CBK or LSU, or Walker. He is the #3 QB, be glad that as of right now We have two QBs better at this very minute, they’re proven. At least we’re not stuck with Jennings & Jordan, We HAVE 2 good QBs and CBK will play them and win games——- that’s his only choice in the long run.

I agree with you 100%.
Like it or not, starting for LSU is not the primary objective for WH. Getting to the NFL is his primary objective and as a high draft choice as you put it.
I've seen this situation first hand. My son played soccer at the highest level, which means we played travel ball and HS ball. He was good enough to make all state 3 times (goal keeper), he won 2 state championships and everything every parent did on those teams was to improve their son's chances to advance to the next level. However, my son got burned out by his junior year and made a decision not to advance to the next level.
And he could have - at 6'4 and 190 pounds he was recruited since his freshman year. But he knew his parents had the resources to attend LSU without a scholarship and with TOPS (due to Title 9, LSU and many Division I schools don't have a men's soccer team).
I wish the best for WH and I understand why he did he did though.

BK chose Daniels over HowardThis isn't a thing. 1 year wasn't going to affect Howard at all.

WH wasn’t going to be given a fair shot to win the job and I don’t blame him for transferring. Having JD back for another year was a huge mistake
