Unless there are some things that none of us know this is a no win for LSU.
I know we are all on LSU’s side but there are times we gotta be smart.
This is not helping the brand currently.
The best that can come of it is there could be better legislation by congress to address all the current issues with collegiate athletics. That is all.

If that's the end result, which I believe has been the goal all along, then it's worth it. Lane can take credit for saving college football.

I wouldn’t give a shite if it was June or July, but the fact that it’s game week is certainly distracting, regardless of what Coach has to say.

Among who? People who aren't and never will be LSU fans? Who gives a shite what those people think? Why should LSU be in the business of living up to the "moral standards" of its competitors? Is the SEC going to spot LSU 7 points in each game this season if LSU "folds"? Are the other fanbases going to say "Hey guys. LSU folded. Let's be nice to them and not try to kick their arse on the field?"

The "brand" only matters to the people who believe the brand matters. Those people are more fired up than ever! (well, except the OP)
This is competitive sports. WINNING is the only thing that matters towards brand quality. Go find an Ole Miss fan, a Texas player, or an Alabama cheerleader and apologize for LSU. The rest of us will be cheering on the Tigers to beat the shite out of their teams.

This is a possibility for sure. They for some reason are finally taking their stand on this one because they have the public opinion on their side nationally. Not here in Louisiana but nationally they do. Kiffen is already not liked by many.
