Dude randomly dropped the greatest offense and QB of all time, won the whole ship decisively.

And then went off the rails nailing blondes and coasting.

I think in that position id have done the same.

Dude probably knew that he would never top that shite

That dumb garbage can head who ran off with $17MM of LSU $ in his buyout to sunburn in Grand Isle and Pensacola?

No, I never have.

He should give $10MM back to the university, maybe for a library.

Why should he?

He earned that money fair and square.

I mean, I've hated the O hire from the very beginning, was pleasantly surprised with what happened in 2019, happy to see him go two years later, but lol at anyone saying he owes the school money.

It's basically like winning the lottery. I have other names for it, but I'd be banned. Dude just couldn't handle fame and what was associated with it. I can't blame him honestly. Why sit and work when the world is your oyster?

Yep, 2019 was magic and unreal. Grateful as well.

But 0's complete lack of team prep for dreadful losses to Troy, MSU, UCLA etc. proved his HC time at Ole Miss was really his (low) level of skill.

[Also stirring the pot to see who defends 0. 2019 was lightning in a bottle. And $$$$$$ buyouts for uni coaches losing a lot on their way out are simply a pet peeve of mine. I know sports agents--it's a great racket if you're in it--but there seems to be no paring back of the high-buyout uni coach "arms race"]

Be mad at the school, not the coach.

Expecting him to give back money is some socialist shite.

He went from The Waterboy to becoming The Head Coach at LSU.
I've heard rumors that he's going to Harvard to teach a foreign language to Graduate Students

He didn't run off he was told to resign. Grande Isle is not Cabo San Lucas. Destin is not Pensacola. LSU's master plan has them tearing down Middleton Library. Part of that master plan will be funded thru increased enrollment which spiked after the national championship in 2019. But keep your chin up. You got the sunburn part correct.

Everyone seems to forget about something else that greatly affected LSU football, Covid.

Covid allowed players to "opt out" or not play. Why should Jamar Chase play in front of empty seats when his resume was 1st round already?

Covid disrupted everything and Coach O, who was not well liked by many N.Louisiana LSU boosters was an easy target to "clean house".

Did Coach O lose his way? I think he did. He never got to hear the crowd in Tiger Stadium celebrate his Natty. He got distracted after reaching his profession's pinnacle.

What can't be taken away is the fact that Coach O DID WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP with a team, HE BUILT.

I don't think the Leprechan will be able to.

He probably doesn’t have $10 million. To start with there are taxes. Then his lifestyle - divorce, trying to impress floozies and buying dinners and drinks for his buddies.

Considering his previous earnings, he might have 10 if his wife didn’t get half. If she did, he is affluent, but no where near rich.
