You can't Fathom how BIG our road games were to THEM!

Can't remember how long ago it was, but LSU playing @ Ole Miss & Kentucky THIS year was like when USC and/or Notre Dame played in Tiger Stadium decades ago!
We lost our 2 road games, but they were close and went down to the wire! The Good News is that do you realize (or try to Fathom) just how JACKED UP both Ole Miss + Kentucky & their Fanbases were for those games!?!
I don't think I'm wrong, or far off at all, when I report that each of those games, for Ole Miss & Kentucky vs LSU, were the BIGGEST GAMES IN THOSE STADIUMS IN THE LAST 50 YEARS......and maybe EVER!!!
It's almost impossible to beat teams, and they were good teams, but not as good as LSU, under those wildly dramatic, passionate circumstances. Be proud that it was them playing LSU that caused those games to be HISTORIC for them!
The LSU Tigers Football Team & coaching staff are MUCH better than what their record is NOW. I think as the season progresses we will be situated very nicely and could easily make the playoffs!!
LSU lost 2 games "on the road" early in the season to 2 very good SEC teams (could easily beat 98.9% + of all other teams in the country). 2 teams that played perhaps their very best, biggest and greatest games Ever! And LSU lost under VERY unique circumstances in stadiums/environments packed with energetic/loud Fans that were @ their Tip/Top Historical Peak!
Again, the circumstances/situation & "timing" LSU had to contend with made it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to Win! Yet we almost did, with our Best players injured & out!
LSU is far better than what most think, believe. I like being the underdog in Tiger Stadium for Bama, Texas!

Has anyone looked at 2027-2028-2029 schedule lately? Every year going forward our last 4-5 games are on the road. 2028 and 2029 look like 5 road games to end the season. I wonder what that is about.

Sorry but thats not a valid excuse. Good teams find ways to win those games, regardless of how "big" it is for the other team. How many times did sabans team come into tiger stadium, come out in front of a sold out, loud crowd and still whip our arse. If you want to be the top dog, every game is going to be big for the opponent. Your job is to figure out how to win that game and so far, we havent been able to

No dates have been announced yet. They grouped home games and away games together for the list...

True Dat. However, for any real Tiger fan to think we have a chance at the playoffs has to wonder "are we going to win a road game anytime soon?" This conference losing streak needs to END! I'm just praying we beat Moo State and come out of the game w minor injuries. Beating AUBURN is a MUST! The environment at Kroger Field was electric and the fans were into it from the kickoff. For a crowd of 61,000 they were very, very LOUD! We'll experience the same thing against AUBURN and TENN. Just got to break thru somehow and WIN. For the record a lot of the Kentucky fans I talked to have going to Tiger Stadium on their bucket list.

these optimistic upbeat posts just make me sadder.
Season is fricked. Just killing time until next year.

Sorry baw that’s legitimately funny.
The games don’t have dates yet, that’s just all our opponents sorted by home and away. Goddamn

Wow! Almost impossible to beat Kentucky and Ole Miss? Ok

I swear some of these folks have no situational awareness or common sense. To really think we would play 4-5 conference games at home and then play 4-5 conference road games in a row...I mean what are you smoking and world do you live in??????

quote:USC won that romper room game in 1979. ND is 2-1 in Tiger Stadium. Good teams win road games. LSU wasn’t good enough to get it done against good, not great teams on the road.

I understand the logic but think about it like this. You don't think teams we up when it came to playing those old Canes teams? Bama teams the past 20 years? LSU is always a game that players, coaches, and fans will be up for. LSU is never going to sneak up on anybody like Vandy. That comes with the territory, still gotta win.
