The non-bashing answer is that purple and black don't play well together. It works okay when there's something outlining purple (like shoulder stripes, but is otherwise "washed out" (like numbers).

I think I would boo the team if we walked out in those. I am fuggin sick of teams that don't have any black associated with their school colors using black jerseys. It's gay as fuk
