With the temperature the way it is in Baton Rouge there would be a few deaths if they wore black out unis

Let's have a green jersey, a red jersey, an orange jersey, hell, a pink jersey, too!

Looks good, but "no", on the black.

No alternate uniforms ever. Just wear the purple jerseys when forced to by an road opponent and for the 2 ooc home game.

To be fair, black is also a neutral color. With that said, I agree that it would be a huge mistake to get all gimmicky with the uniforms. LSU is one of the few universities with a classic, badass uniform.

Terrible idea from a pure tactical advantage

It's a sauna in Baton Rouge. Black reflects less light so the guys would get hotter wearing it.

And our fans can barely stomach staying through the 3rd quarter as it is. Have a fan black out and they'll be leaving at halftime.

Can't believe no one has brought this up.

Stupid young fricks aren't old enough and experienced in REAL LIFE to realize how ridiculous some changes look! The straight bill hat is the prime example.

No to black and "black outs". We aren't Middle Tennessee playing on a Wednesday night.

Make them to sell to the people who want them but never wear them on the field is my compromise.

Iconic teams have iconic uniforms. You flip on the TV or walk into a sports bar, look at the screen and immediately recognize Alabama vs. LSU, Texas vs. Oklahoma, Michigan vs. Ohio State without reading the graphics.

Non-iconic teams, those bottom feeders of major conferences and the mid-majors (ULL comes to mind), are continuously changing their uniforms to try to find an identity.

The lone exception has been Oregon, a one-time bottom feeder, that has become the quirky, "Weird Al Yankovic" of the majors. It is expected of them now, but anyone else doing it (like Missouri) is just a copycat.

Bottom line: LSU should stick with its traditional uniforms.
